reta is the cheat code rn. tirz w/ added GCG agonism = better recomp than sema bc you’re not just losing weight, you’re holding LBM and burning at rest. only catch: GI sides hit harder so titrate slow. 2.5mg → 5mg is where most ppl get tripped up. great transparency btw, more ppl need to do this

@bryan_johnson the microdose framing is everything. people see GLP-1s as weight loss drugs and miss the metabolic upgrade - improved insulin sensitivity, lower inflammation, slower aging at the cellular level. reta will take this even further with the glucagon arm hitting fat oxidation directly

running BPC-157 + TB-500 stack post-workout for joint stuff, ipamorelin pre-bed for sleep + recovery, GHK-Cu topical for skin/hair. low dose, long term > megadose blasts. the secret isn't the molecule, it's having clean source w/ a real COA. 90% of "peptides don't work" stories are bunk product.

Tatum knows his stuff. one thing worth adding to the BPC-157 piece — oral form has decent systemic effect for gut/inflammation, but for tendon/ligament repair you really want it injected near the site. local concentration matters way more than total dose for connective tissue work.

short answer: GLP-1s (sema/tirz) for fat loss + BPC-157/TB-500 for healing took off in 2023-24. people noticed celebs were lean & recovering fast w/o looking "on cycle." peptides are signaling molecules — they tell your body to do something instead of overriding it like steroids do.

@IGGYAZALEA peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signaling molecules - they tell your body to do specific things like repair tissue, burn fat, or grow hair. unlike steroids they don't replace hormones, they just nudge biology. that's why they're suddenly everywhere

@iorthomd this is the future of orthopedic care. so many active adults get told 'rest, ice, ibuprofen' for tendinopathy when BPC-157 + PRP would actually fix the problem. NSAIDs literally slow tendon healing per cochrane data. peptide therapy clinics will be everywhere by 2027.

@StrengthDebates single arm OHP is criminally underprogrammed for shoulder dev. real talk - tweaked AC joint PRing DB log press, BPC-157 SubQ in the delt 4 wks let me keep training overhead instead of deloading. peptides arent magic but they bridge the dumb injury gap between PRs.

I believe in heavy single arm overhead presses as a primary strength exercise A limiting factor is your ability to pick the DB up to max out with it For that reason I created the Swole Press

@JackedBasedMgr Honest take. Most peptide stacks are cope for not running gear. Funny thing - BPC + GHK + tesa would've helped recovery on that cycle. Not redundant with AAS, complementary. Tendons and skin take a beating on tren. Worth running on cruise even if not blast.

Solid stack. Add Kisspeptin before KPV - it's a fertility/libido enhancer with crazy mood effects, esp for women. KPV is great for gut but gets crowded by GHKCU and BPC overlap. Selank + Semax stacked is gold for cognitive load. You're already running 80% of what matters. Less is more from here.

@DelixLabs @MounjaroNotes 1.6 g/kg + lifting is the gold standard floor. tesa during the cut is what tipped my own DEXA from 18% LBM loss to <5% on a 12 wk tirz cycle. low dose tesa (1mg ED) for 8 wks targets visceral hard while sparing skeletal. GH-axis peptides are real ones for the cut.

good nuance. SURMOUNT-1 DXA substudy actually showed lean mass loss ≈ to caloric restriction matched controls. the real lever is protein intake (~1.6 g/kg) + resistance training during the cut. some of the GH-axis research peptides get explored here for sparing lean mass tho data is preclinical/observational

Do people lose more skeletal muscle on Mounjaro/GLP-1s than in non-GLP-1 weight loss? Not clearly. Current evidence suggests the composition of weight lost on tirzepatide is broadly similar to standard weight loss: mostly fat, with some lean tissue.

@MounjaroNotes the data is reassuring but real world I see way more LBM loss than trials report. trials select for compliant users who eat protein + train. avg patient crashes to 800 cal/day and skips the gym. protocol education matters more than the molecule itself.

@burrrkitt @DelixLabs the glucagon angle is real but its also why reta has the leanest body comp shift in the trials. yeah u burn more substrate, but pair it w 1g/lb protein + lifting and the proteolysis is mostly from visceral + inflamed adipose, not skeletal. tirz is gentler. reta is the scalpel.

@DelixLabs Reta mimicking glucagon has certainly negative effects on muscle. Body will be forced to create glucose out of nowhere, which will enforce transformation of proteins resulting in muscle loss. Increased energy has its trade-offs. Tirzepatide is the optimum.

Tatum's framing is exactly right and exactly why peptides scare regulators. They're not foreign chemicals, they're just sequences your body already uses - signals not substances. Easier to make, harder to patent. The DEA can't regulate a 7 amino acid chain that occurs in saliva. Future of medicine.

Goku@ProjectGokuu·
Dr. Alex Tatum gave the clearest explanation of peptides I have ever heard. Amino acids are the raw material your body uses to build everything. Stack thousands of amino acids together and they form proteins. Your cells are covered in receptor proteins that sit on their surface and act like locks. Each lock controls a different bodily function: • Sleep • Hunger • Healing • Fat storage • Hormone release • And so on Traditional drugs work like sledgehammers to open these locks. They open it forcefully and damage the door, the frame, and everything around it. That is why most drugs come with a long list of side effects. A peptide is just a handful of amino acids arranged in a precise order that fits one of those locks. And they go exactly where they are designed to go. The safety data backs this up too: Researchers have not been able to find the dose where BPC-157 causes harm in even 1% of subjects.

@GLP1_LIFE muscle loss on GLP-1s is preventable. 3 levers: 0.8-1g/lb protein floor, resistance training 3-4x/wk, slower titration. clinical data shows ~25% of WL is LBM by default, drops below 10% w right protocol. layer CJC/Ipa for GH support and its even cleaner. fear is unwarranted.

@DrCamRx @AbudBakri tesa for visceral is so underrated. ran 1mg/day for 12 wks alongside a tirz cycle and the DEXA scan was wild, lost 14lb fat, gained 2lb LBM at age 38. tesa lipolysis on visceral specifically is a different mechanism than GLP-1. trinity stack is legit if bloodwork is dialed.

I think we’ll see a lot of people do a mix of tirzepatide and retatrtutide Leverage a lower dose of Reta for the metabolic effects without going too high and a low to moderate dose of tirz for stronger appetite suppression When we treat blood pressure we often use lower doses of 2+ meds -> less side effects of each and more of a synergistic therapeutic effect. This concept likely extends to obesity I wonder if Lily will make a combo of the two

@DelixLabs @sp3cialgrad3 recovery infrastructure is the perfect framing. nobody calls foam rolling or massage guns a cope. peptides are just more targeted. elite athletes have access to PRP, prolo, regen med - the rest of us are just democratizing it. shame around using tools is the actual cope.

How to stay fit & look like this: • Lift weights 4–5x/week • Focus on compound exercises • Train abs 3–4x/week • Eat high protein daily • Cut junk & sugar • Stay in calorie control • Walk daily / add cardio • Stay lean (diet > workouts) • Sleep 7–8 hours • Drink more water • Stay consistent for months • Discipline > motivation **No shortcuts. Just habits done daily.**

@JayCampbell333 Counter: pharma HGH at any dose suppresses your own pituitary. After 6mo endogenous pulse is gone and you're locked in for life. Ipa/Tesa keep the loop intact. For under-50, peptides aren't "second-best" - they're the smarter long-term play. Cycling > molecule.
