You are right, Macy. When states allow males on women’s teams, it means a deserving young woman was deprived of a spot on the team—or even worse, faces sexual assault like happened to Kallie Keeler, the wrestler in Washington state forced to wrestle a male. That violates Title IX, and that’s why @ADFLegal is suing Washington and other states for these harms.

Yes, 23 states need to explicitly keep men from their women’s sports team. But they are all already liable under Title IX. Allowing men on women’s sports teams has been illegal for 54 years already.

Yesterday, the Supreme Court heard arguments on @ADFLegal's cases to protect fairness in women's sports. Today, South Carolina took the first step to protect privacy and safety in locker rooms, restrooms, and sleeping quarters on school trips. Men don't belong on girls' sports teams or in their private spaces. Thank you @tommypopeSC @shanemassey @wesclimer for putting SC women and girls first.

The Wailes’ story illustrates what happens when govt officials ignore parental rights and trample girls’ privacy. An 11-year old girl assigned to a hotel room with a boy on a school trip. Parents denied info about this rooming policy & their accommodation request rejected. This is why @ADFLegal is representing the Wailes and other families in challenging these policies.
