It is a real honour to be back at Holyrood representing the people of Mid Scotland and Fife.
I will continue to do what I have done for the last five years:
Speak up for my constituents.
Uncover the truth.
Expose failures of the government.
Ask the right questions.

Who are we expecting to become Presiding Officer? I can't seem to find any informed speculation. Normally by this point we'd sort of half-know already.

When John Swinney said he was “looking forward” to working with Sinn Fein, people were rightly outraged.
But telling people to simply “move on” is grossly offensive to those who lost loved ones to IRA terror.

Told yesterday of a couple in their 80’s who went to their GP surgery to make an appointment to change her tablets as she has cancer. She was told she couldn’t have an appointment for several weeks. They sat in shock, then a woman who couldn’t speak much English came in to book and was given one the following day.
The gentleman went to complain and was told they get paid £184 to give an appointment to the other lady.
Shocking. 2-tier system.

All children should receive a good lunch at school. Breakfast, however, is a family responsibility. In a healthy society the state has no business here.

Enjoyed Kemi’s quip about free breakfast clubs being a defining legacy of this Labour government. When the Tories deride breakfast clubs, it shows how out of touch they still are. A £450 saving is a lot for working families. Easing the morning rush makes a big difference.

@WilliamClouston For 60p a day all in and less than five minutes to make, a poached and chopped or scrambled egg on toast is a perfect breakfast on school days. We old codgers regularly have it for brunch, sometimes with mushrooms or tomato. There is no excuse not to.

Nigel Farage will rightly receive huge praise in the coming days for leading Reform to a devastating victory over Labour, the Conservatives and the Greens. But enormous credit also has to go to Zia Yusuf. His vision, organisation and belief helped turn Reform from a protest movement into a serious political force. Without him, this simply does not happen. Seeing so many people unite behind Reform and stand up to Keir Starmer makes me genuinely optimistic about the future of the UK.
