💨 WIND is briefly increasing across northern El paso County along an outflow boundary (from a collapsing storm in Elbert County) . The same outflow boundary as a focal point for new storm development as you can see just east of Monument . Storms are more likely around the Palmer divide through 7 to 8 PM this evening. Gusty outflow winds are the primary concern

Early next week, two systems in split flow target Colorado—one from the north, one from the west. How (or if) they merge will determine impacts, but this one trends colder than the last. We’re watching Tuesday into early Wednesday for rain and snow.

15 YEARS AGO: On this date in 2011, Alabama experienced a generational tornado outbreak. A total of 62 tornadoes touched town over the northern 2/3 of the state. We will never forget the 252 lives lost that horrible day.
