"Citizen journalist" Philip Dwyer, who was convicted of failing to comply with a garda’s direction to move on while live-streaming during a riot, will have his case dismissed on appeal, a judge has indicated. What I would do is correct the impression given that Ireland has a sky high murder rate when it is the same as UK & France and a quarter of the US rate. I would also point out that the bulk of our immigrants are 1. From EU or UK, 2. Ukraine & 3. People with working visas whose labour we need. Immigration is a challenge but a manageable one. We can 1. reduce the number of work visas we issue & put up with the economic cost, 2. Tighten up our asylum system to process cases more quickly, 3. Work with EU partners to manage the Union’s external borders. Those things plus an end to the war in Ukraine would change the situation for the better. Sadly, there are no simple solutions. If people are willing to risk their lives in leaky boats it is difficult to stop them arriving in UK and coming to Ireland. What is your solution? No one favours mass immigration or open borders. That’s a fantasy.

Some courses are nonsense courses and in the UK there has been courses setup just to take advantage of this type of situation. Option B. drop out of course claim asylum
