How did we end up with a disability benefit scheme that uses taxpayer’s £ to buy new cars for drivers with conditions like eczema or ADHD? The disclosures about Motability - which now accounts for 1 in 5 of all new cars sold - are a classic example of a good idea ruined by greed.
