Leadership in Motion: A New Chapter of Strategic Excellence โ€‹The appointment of General (Rtd.) Philip Valerio Sibanda to the ZANU-PF Politburo is more than just a political transition; it is a profound reinforcement of Zimbabweโ€™s revolutionary foundation. In an era where stability and strategic foresight are the ultimate currencies of governance, bringing a man of Sibandaโ€™s caliber into the partyโ€™s highest decision-making body is a masterstroke that signals one clear message: Zimbabwe is in safe hands. โ€‹โ€‹General Sibandaโ€™s journey is etched in the very fabric of Zimbabweโ€™s liberation and sovereignty. Known for his discipline, quiet brilliance, and tactical mastery, he has spent decades at the helm of the nationโ€™s defense forces, ensuring that the peace and territorial integrity of the Republic remain unshakeable. โ€‹By moving from the command center of the military to the strategic heart of the Politburo, he brings a unique brand of servant leadership. His career has never been about fanfare; it has been about results, loyalty, and an uncompromising commitment to the national interest. โ€‹โ€‹The inclusion of General Sibanda in the Politburo injects a massive dose of institutional memory and strategic depth into the party. For ZANU-PF, his presence offers several key advantages: 1. โ€‹Precision in Policy: Military leaders are trained to think several steps ahead. His experience will likely translate into more rigorous policy implementation and a "mission-first" approach to national development. 2. โ€‹Organizational Discipline: At a time when the party is focused on modernizing and streamlining its operations, Sibandaโ€™s reputation for order and meritocracy will be invaluable. 3. โ€‹A Bridge of Continuity: He represents the seamless connection between the liberation struggleโ€™s values and the contemporary goals of #Vision2030. โ€‹โ€‹For the average Zimbabwean, this appointment provides a sense of profound security. The Politburo is tasked with guiding the nationโ€™s ideological and economic direction; having a seasoned strategist like Sibanda at the table ensures that "Leadership in Motion" is backed by a steady hand. โ€‹His transition represents the professionalization of political strategy. When a nation combines seasoned political vision with the operational expertise of a high-ranking general, the result is a governance structure that is resilient against internal and external shocks. Zimbabwe is indeed in safe hands. The journey continues, and the leadership remains in motion. Congratulations to the REAL General! #Zimbabwe #Leadership @SandileMakeba @ChipoMusarurwaS @IsaacMakomichi @Bete263 @CdeNgomaNeHosho @ChambatiLevison @chari639408 @BarakaZaire @citezw @DubekoSibanda @noto2030 @2017Novemb88076 @SajeniMapuranga @ED4TheNation

One of the notable proposals under #CA3 is Clause 13, which seeks to widen the jurisdiction of the Constitutional Court beyond strictly constitutional interpretation disputes to also include major legal questions and public interest matters. Advocates of the proposal argue that modern legal systems require apex courts capable of addressing complex national disputes with clarity and finality. The reform is therefore viewed as an institutional strengthening mechanism designed to improve judicial efficiency, legal coherence and access to justice. Supporters believe the proposed framework would allow the Court to play a more comprehensive role in resolving nationally significant legal issues within Zimbabweโ€™s evolving governance landscape. #CA3 #Vision2030 #Zimbabwe ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ผ

This is how #CA3 changes how Zimbabweโ€™s President would be elected from now onwards: Instead of a direct national vote, the President would be chosen by Parliament through a joint sitting of the National Assembly and Senate. A candidate must secure an absolute majority to win, with a run-off if no one reaches the threshold. The process would also be overseen by the Chief Justice or a designated judge, introducing stronger constitutional and judicial oversight into the election process.

Chamisaโ€™s โ€œComebackโ€: The Real Story Behind the Announcement. After Nelson Chamisa @nelsonchamisa announced what many called his โ€œcomeback,โ€ there was widespread speculation, with many people questioning the timing and the real intention behind the announcement. But the reality is different from the excitement being created online. What happened last week clearly exposed the deepening power struggles within opposition politics. Tendai Biti @BitiTendai , Timba @JamesonTimba , Madhuku @ProfMadhuku and their allies had attempted to use the CAB3 debate as a platform to revive the opposition and regroup anti-government forces around a new political movement. Their expectation was that CAB3 would trigger widespread resistance and become a rallying point for rebuilding opposition influence. However, that strategy failed to gain the momentum they had anticipated as CAB3 continued receiving overwhelming support from many Zimbabweans who believe the country is progressing under President Emmerson Mnangagwa @edmnangagwa and the Second Republic. As the CAB3 campaign failed to revive opposition politics, pressure and uncertainty began growing within opposition circles. It was during this period that Chamisa suddenly emerged with his โ€œI am readyโ€ message, a move widely seen as an attempt to reassert his authority and prevent rival opposition figures from taking control of the opposition space. The timing of the announcement was not accidental. It came at a moment when new political formations were reportedly being discussed behind the scenes, with some opposition figures positioning themselves for leadership in a post Chamisa opposition setup. Despite attempts to market the announcement as a major political return, the reality remains that the opposition is deeply fragmented, weakened by internal rivalries, leadership battles and lack of a united national agenda. What unfolded last week was not the rebirth of a strong opposition movement, but a clear sign of panic, confusion and growing competition for relevance within opposition politics. @NgarivhumeJ @ZANUPF_Official @lilomatic @LynneStactia @daddyhope @TraikoshM3722 @SajeniMapuranga @namataik_ @marapira_farai @oczmk @mutami_susan @KandishayaTaura

People often do not truly know what they want. For years, I have observed the behavior of opposition supporters, and it is marked by inconsistency and contradiction. Their positions shift so frequently that no one can predict them. This is why a committed ZANU-PF supporter should not waste energy trying to please them. They demand that politiciansโ€™ children show support for their parentsโ€™ parties. Yet when those children step forward, they complain again. They lament that hospitals are in poor condition. But when rehabilitation projects are undertaken, they accuse the government of looting funds. They protest about walking long distances to fetch water. When solar-powered boreholes are provided nearby as a temporary solution, they dismiss them as unnecessary in towns. They insist that presidential elections are stolen every time. Yet now they say they prefer the same election process. They once demanded the disbandment of ZEC. Today, they insist the votersโ€™ roll must remain with ZEC. They condemned Zimbabwe as a military state and rejected military involvement in politics. Now they claim they do not mind it. This pattern reveals a deeper truth: opposition supporters thrive on contradiction. They are not guided by principle, but by perpetual dissatisfaction. Their goal is not progress, but endless complaint. For ZANUโ€“PF supporters, the lesson is clear: do not be distracted by this noise. Focus instead on building, rehabilitating, and delivering tangible results. Progress speaks louder than contradiction, and history will judge by actions, not by complaints.

Gen Sibandaโ€™s Politburo Appointment Wonโ€™t Weaken Chiwenga; The Army Shot Protesters When He Was CDF People remember 2018 By Isaac Makomichi The 2030 faction got it wrong. They think todayโ€™s appointment of Gen Valerio Sibanda to the Politburo will neutralize VP Chiwengaโ€™s popularity. If anything, it will do the opposite. Popularity in Zimbabwe isnโ€™t about what position you hold. Itโ€™s about reputation, what you did when it mattered, and where you stand on corruption and the cabals destroying the party. Gen Sibanda is a decorated soldier and, by all accounts, a good man. But he was CDF in 2018 when the army shot and killed citizens who were demonstrating. That record is public. You cannot erase it. If the 2030 faction wants to clean his name, they should have started years ago. No one forgets the 2018 shootings - the first time protesters were killed since independence. Now that heโ€™s in active politics, people will talk about that legacy. And in that conversation, Chiwenga looks different. Whether you agree with him or not, he is seen by many as the man who stood against Zvigananda destroying the country and the party from inside. So no, Gen Sibanda wonโ€™t be a threat to Chiwengaโ€™s popularity. If anything, this appointment will make Chiwenga look stronger and more loved by the base that remembers 2018. The 2030 faction should stop misusing Gen Sibandaโ€™s name the way they have since his appointment was announced. Let him settle first. I personally respect Gen Sibanda, but I canโ€™t ignore what happened when he was CDF. I think he owes the public an explanation. @nickmangwana @TembaMliswa @LynneStactia @ChipoMusarurwaS @daddyhope

Rethinking Presidential Elections: Why an indirect system may serve Zimbabwe better By Glen Mpani I HAVE closely followed the debate around Constitution of Zimbabwe (Amendment No. 3) Bill with keen interest. Working in political campaigns, I have reflected deeply on what the Billโ€™s proposed changes mean, not just for governance, but for how campaigns are designed, executed, and won. That perspective has shaped my thinking in ways I did not initially anticipate. There is a fundamental question at the heart of Zimbabwe's political future: how should a president be chosen? Right now President Mnangagwaโ€™s image has taken a drastic knock since he made the mistake of adopting Mampaniโ€™s risky strategy. He might not even finish his term if he doesnโ€™t manage this situation well. How then is this good? Right now he is only speaking because the more articulate Moyo has given up because the strategy is backfiring.

The Parliament of Zimbabwe is entering the final stretch of the #CA3 Engagement Phase, with only five days remaining for citizens to submit their written views. This is a critical window for public participation, ensuring that the legislative process remains open, transparent, and accountable to the people it serves. To help shape the future of the nation, stakeholders and individuals are encouraged to send their formal submissions via email to bills@parlzim.gov.zw or provide them through hand delivery to the Parliament offices before the deadline expires

The Second Republic continues to uplift and transform communities across Matabeleland through life changing development programmes. The drilling of boreholes, the Presidential Input Scheme and various support systems have brought hope to many families, improved livelihoods and strengthened food security in our communities. Today, many people can access clean water, farmers are producing more and rural communities are beginning to enjoy the fruits of inclusive development. This is clear evidence that no place and no one is being left behind. We applaud the Second Republic for its commitment to empowering the people, improving lives and securing food production for a better and prosperous Zimbabwe.... Your fav!!๐Ÿ˜… showing us raw frustration that anti-government voices have enjoyed years of near-zero opposition while churning out one-sided propaganda, blaming every crisis solely on the government and shaping online narratives by default. Now, there is push back and the monopoly old monopoly is cracking, and it is rattling them. They decry "coordinated agreement" as manufactured support, yet after dominating discourse unchallenged, any counter-narrative feels like an ambush; they mock them as amateur while their side treated social media as a one-way propaganda hose with zero pushback. Go to his TL, one after the other in support and agreement and endorsement๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ Zimbabweans have challenges โ€” no dispute โ€” but they also see critics amplifying collapse narratives while dismissing nuance or defense as trolling, and treating any contestation of the megaphone as an existential threat. Claims that counter-voices erode trust ring hollow when you are obsessed with dissecting 2026 accounts instead of ignoring them. On media freedom and expression, this contested space proves the point: real freedom thrives with open challenge, not the echo chamber your ecosystem built; #CA3 does not gag expression โ€” it exposes how opposition propaganda long monopolized it without scrutiny. Agreed, Zimbabweans are not stupid; they know the problems and now recognise when critics fear balanced debate more than they claim to champion it. The unchallenged era is over. #freespeech

@daddyhope But so is selective platforming being done by @TrevorNcube , echo chambers & likes of @freemanchari insulting everyone with opposing views as โ€œpseudo-intellectualsโ€ or propagandists. They are creating the same kind of unhealthy debate environment you accuse others of creating.
