@DSS123 @EMA_Airport Agree but £5 seems cheap! I once drove into the wrong carpark at Luton and had to pay £10 just to get out!!!

Is there any more blatant of a rip off than having to pay £5 simply to drop somebody off from a car at @EMA_Airport ? Something that can be completed within about 30 seconds of entering the drop off zone. £5 is outrageous

Wish I could go back and tell my 20-year-old self—who was running in Newtons—that everything will be OK and these shoe designers will figure it out.

@bbculp @RunnerBliss I think you’re the first person I’ve ever seen who actually ran (or at least admits to running) in Newtons. The most bizarre concept in shoe design I’ve ever seen.

GLP-1 meds (Ozempic, Wegovy, etc.) are transforming weight management and health, but what’s happening under the hood according to real-world wearable data? A fascinating analysis by Rocio at @TerraAPI Research looked at 538 users tracking daily steps, heart rate, and HRV around their GLP-1 doses: • Activity drops noticeably, fewer steps on dosing days, with the effect persisting up to 7+ days (and sometimes longer). Effect sizes grow over time windows. • Resting heart rate rises slightly but consistently, peaking 2–7 days post-dose. • HRV drops (a marker of autonomic recovery/stress resilience) and stays suppressed for weeks. These are within-person trends, each user compared to their own baseline, so not just noise. Likely tied to side effects like fatigue, reduced appetite, or autonomic shifts, though causality isn’t proven. If you’re on a GLP-1 and your wearable shows lower steps or weirder HR/HRV patterns around injection days… you’re not alone. The big takeaway? These drugs deliver powerful benefits, but tracking wearables helps spot the full picture, including trade-offs we don’t always hear about. Time to consider prescribing them with an exercise routine? Very interested to hear if anyone had noticed these kinds of changes? Drop your experience below. Curious to read more? Check the full Terra Research post in the comments below. #GLP1 #Ozempic #Wegovy #Wearables #HealthTech #WeightLoss #DataDrivenHealth

@thebricksession @AliBrownleetri @TerraAPI Everyone wants to “buy” fitness and quickly. So let’s spend £££££ on an Oura ring or a whoop. Why? I don’t need some wearable to tell me I had a bad nights sleep and rest more. Consistency is key as you know so stop relying on data too much. Move and listen to your body more

@AliBrownleetri @TerraAPI The popularity of drugs like Ozempic highlights how deeply we want quick fixes. Obesity isn’t fundamentally a pharmaceutical problem it’s a lifestyle problem. A drug that suppresses appetite doesn’t build healthier habits.

@Lawton_Times @cleans_letsrun Not sure of the relevance of Pog at this point, but let’s throw his name in the headline before Soler anyway, just so he’s there alongside Armstrong to insinuate.

@DM_No5 @UKRunChat Just keep following the plan. It’s normally to feel sick of it and constant fatigue right now but they payback will be worth it when you’re running towards Big Ben and everyone else is walking 💪

🇫🇷 Amandine Fouquenet on her race (on Manon Bakker) I really felt it was disrespectful to push and pull so hard and then make me crash. I understand you have to earn your spot and command respect, but not to the point of pushing your opponents so hard. #Hulst2026

@crothjackson As I argued before, you can be aggressive even when you keep your hands off. Riders have been DSQ'ed already for deviating, elbowing, shouldering or other dangerous/aggressive behaviour. If Fouquenet would have been injured after Bakker's manoeuvre, you would find that ok?

@crothjackson @Cyclingbottle No it didn’t as she was using her bike instead of”pretending” it was a racing incident knowing she would likely get away with it. It’s straight where she has no requirement to take that like other than to shoulder barge Fouquiene out the way!!

@BelleBleubelle @richaontweet @marksandspencer I mean it’s not that shitty! Just read your receipt or ask. It’s why so many companies go out of business because of stupid returns policy take some responsibility as the purchaser

Unacceptable standards from @marksandspencer Wanted to return some items but they won’t take it as it’s past 14 days. But hey M&S you forgot to mention different return policy for sale items neither while ordering nor on the receipt. Even the link for “return policy” did not work

Most of the “no days off” guys are runners or hybrid. The guys into muscle building rarely train more than 3-4 days a week because those rest days are when hypertrophy occurs. I get heaps of outreach from runners about TRT, peptides. Very large scale PED use (outside of competitive bodybuilding) in track, tennis, golf and basketball. Not all of it banned either. Some leagues allow for 200 mg per week of T. That’s a LOT!

Reality: Many of the jacked health influencers telling you to always grind, no days off, always go hard... are on steroids. It's easy to ignore recovery and "grind" when supplemental testosterone is doing the work.

How slow should you go on your recovery runs? Here's a tip from coach Mihali Igloi: "Run so slowly that the pace almost hurts. Fatigue should not be produced, it should be resolved."
