Yoweri Museveni made specific reference to the Somali community in Uganda has said, When we went to Somalia, the Somali community in Uganda called us “kafir.”(disbeliever) He responded by saying, “Yes, we are kafir, but this is our land. If you do not want to live in this Christian land, then go to Pakistan. This is our land, and if you bring trouble, we will deal with you. If you are looking for an Islamic country, go to Islamic country.

Uganda and the United States have signed a Safe Third Country Agreement to process protection requests from certain third-country African nationals.
Under the deal, Uganda has started receiving individuals approved by U.S. immigration authorities, in line with international law.
The first group of eight arrived in Uganda on April 1, 2026, marking the agreement’s implementation.
The arrangement is part of a broader U.S. strategy to manage asylum applications through partnerships with African countries.

WHO WILL WAVE BACK WHEN YOU GO?
When your goons forced our loved ones
To raise their hands and bid us farewell,
We wept heavy tears of grief.
Who will weep for you Jane, when you go?
Who will wave back when you wave bye-bye?
When your brutes forced our loved ones
To stop their breathing - by gun shot,
We cried bitter tears of mourning.
Who will cry for you Jane, when you go?
Who will wave back when you wave bye-bye?
When your stooges forced our loved ones
To end their heartbeats - through torture,
We shed endless tears of sorrow.
Who will shed tears for you Jane, when you go?
Who will wave back when you wave bye-bye?
When your thugs forced our loved ones
To end their lives - through beatings,
We wailed with the pain of the bereaved.
Who will wail for you Jane, when you go?
Who will wave back when you wave bye-bye?

A disturbing new detail has come out about the Ggaba daycare massacre. The main suspect, Christopher Okello Onyim, is said to be a U.S. citizen who lived and worked in America for over 20 years before returning to Uganda in November 2025. He worked as a nursing assistant in Northern Virginia. His sudden return has raised many questions, including whether he came back by choice or was forced to leave. Instead of starting a quiet life, his return seems to have led to tension and strange behavior.
After arriving in Uganda, Onyim first stayed at his parents’ home in Bunga, Kampala. He later moved to Nwoya District to try farming, but this reportedly caused conflict with his father, who wanted him to stay in the United States. Although Onyim had always wanted to return home, things did not go smoothly. He later went back to Kampala and rented a house in Kyanja just weeks before the attack, which now makes his actions seem more worrying.
Police believe the attack may have been planned. A few days before the killings, Onyim reportedly visited the daycare pretending to be a parent looking for a place for a child. On the day of the attack, he paid school fees using mobile money, which helped him avoid suspicion. He is then said to have locked the school gate and offices before carrying out the brutal attack on the children inside, leaving the country in shock.
As Uganda mourns Ryan Odeke, Keisha Otim, Gideon Eteko, and Ignatius Sserunyange, more troubling information is coming up. Reports say Onyim may have been involved in another violent incident in 2017 involving his stepbrother, but the case was not fully pursued, and he remained free. There are also questions about his mental health, though this has not yet been confirmed. These details are making the case even more painful and confusing.
Onyim is now in police custody as investigations continue. Authorities are trying to understand why he returned to Uganda and what led him to commit such a terrible act. Many questions are still unanswered. The country remains in deep sorrow, as families grieve and people demand clear answers about what really happened.

🚨ANTI-BOBI WINE BILL: Ugandan authorities are steadily sliding the country into total repression—from laws targeting minority groups, to draconian computer misuse provisions, to prosecuting civilians in military kangaroo courts. Now, the proposed “sovereignty” bill threatens to extend this crackdown beyond borders, targeting political opponents in the diaspora.
If enacted, the bill could enable travel bans, arrests, or asset freezes against Ugandans abroad—and over time, create a legal pathway to strip away citizenship from critics under the guise of “foreign influence.”
The U.S. government must urgently reassess its cooperation with the regime of @KagutaMuseveni and support a credible pathway toward democratic transition and accountability.

We must call this what it is - a political prisoner separated from his family, not for crime, but for conviction.
No child should have to make the most of fleeting prison visits to know their father. Justice delayed here is justice denied.

#EddieMutwe is not just a name in a political debate, he is a father, a husband, a human being. His wife Rhonah, a capable lawyer, is left to carry the family alone. Every day he remains imprisoned for his political activism is an injustice to them all.
