On Monday, the Quality of Life Division launched it's pilot program in the @NYPD13Pct, @NYPD40Pct, @NYPD60Pct, @NYPD75Pct, @NYPD101Pct, & @NYPDPSA1. Officers from those commands hit the ground running with operations aimed at improving the quality of life for their communities.

Today, @NYCMayor and I are announcing a new Quality of Life Division in the NYPD to address the everyday issues that impact New Yorkers' sense of safety and well-being in their neighborhoods.   This is about tackling the concerns coming directly from communities across the city.

Congratulations to all of those who have graduated from the Auxiliary Longevity Graduation Ceremony and completed their time within the Academy! You now serve as the eyes and ears of the department while protecting the City of New York and all those who live here!

Twenty-two years ago, our city was changed forever. The NYPD lost 23 members, @fdny lost 343 members, @PANYNJ lost 37 members, and we continue to lose more due to 9/11 illnesses.
