Regardless of what posters print, online advocacy should always use the hashtags #AmharaGenocide and #WarOnAmhara in addition to those proposed by different rally organizers. This may not affect rally posters, but it affects the data, evidence and testimonies that are attached with these hashtags that were in long run use from being visible on online searches. You can see from the trends over time how consistently Amhara advocates used these tags. So keep them in all your other additional tags. 📍 Plus don't forget to attend rallies near you! 📍 This is it! This should be the last year we see our people targeted, attacked, massacred and ignored! It needs to stop and with your unwavering determination it is possible! 📍 Please check out organizers official accounts for updated posters. I am only sharing posters as I find them.

Thank you @AmharaBCenter for being a voice for the silenced and victimized #Amhara people of Ethiopia. Exposing every single crime is how we can raise awareness about all the pain and suffering, which will lead for everyone to move out of their comfort zone, so the critical mass can reject the genocidal system and government that is successfully waging genocide against Amhara's. The show of solidarity shown by Roha TV is also a testament that this is not about everyday issue, this is about survival, so it is heartwarming to see such solidarity. Also thank you for inviting me to say a few words regarding the ongoing genocide against Amharas in particular, and the need for wide coverage of it, and the need to remove the effect of disinformation and enemy directed PsyOps that is slowing down our fight against #AmharaGenocide. IMF & World Bank Should NOT Approve Funds to a Tyrant Regime in Ethiopia:- A tyrant regime in #Ethiopia has continued killing innocent civilians mainly women & children in Amhara region. It has been over a year since the fascist @AbiyAhmedAli shut down internet, water, electricity and other humanitarian services inside Amhara region. It’s the second largest and most populous region with more than 45 mm people. The state of emergency that was declared a year ago has continued. After defeating @AbiyAhmedAli soldiers, the #Amhara Fano Forces have taken control of over 90% of the region administration. Over the past 12 months, more than 200 drone strikes have been conducted which led to civilians casualties mainly women and children. While all this intact, we are informed that @IMF and @wbg_gov are considering to approve a loan package to the regime. It would be a great mistake and irreversible if @IMFSpokesperson @WorldBankAfrica @wbg_gov approve the deal. We strongly believe that prior loan agreements did nothing other than financing two horrific wars : war on Tigray and war on Amhara. The regime misappropriated several billions dollars not just to buy weapons and ammunition but to build 13 bn dollars worth of Mega Palace (Forest Park), Lodges and inner city recreation facilities. All of these projects have no economic values at all. For underdeveloped countries such us ours, these programs should be considered after basic economic needs are met. You’re strongly advised to NOT approve such loan agreements or deals until the regime changes its course and meet these conditions: (a) remove its genocidal troops from Amhara region and elsewhere, (b) take accountability for triggering two wars that led to loss of more than 1.5 million lives (c) willing for peaceful transfer of power to a transition government. Almost all Ethiopians agree that the unconditional removal of @AbiyAhmedAli regime would bring lasting peace in #Ethiopia. @SenateForeign @SenateGOP @SenateDems @HouseForeignGOP @HouseGOP @WhiteHouse @POTUS @VP @SecBlinken @PowerUSAID @USAmbUN @USEmbassyAddis @MikeHammerUSA @StateDept @Reuters @guardian @AFP @nytimes @NewYorker @WashTimes @washingtonpost @BloombergAfrica @AJEnglish @cnni @BBCAfrica @antonioguterres @UNHCREthiopia @EthioHRC @Refugees @AmnestyEARO @hrw @JosepBorrellF @eu_eeas @EU_Commission @EUCouncil

On July 1, approximately 150 students from Debark University were kidnapped near Gebre Guracha while returning home. Reports indicate they were taken to a nearby forest, and a substantial ransom is being demanded for their release. Ironically, no state or state-affiliated media has reported on the mass kidnapping, even five days later.

Today is the 2nd anniversary of the #ToleMassacre. Over 1550 ethnic Amharas (up to 3000) were slaughtered on June 18,2022. Two years on and #AmharaGenocide is still going on. Please read the quoted tweet and inform yourself of the accounts of what happened in Tole, Gimbi Woreda against Amharas that fateful day. This is why we cannot rest until Justice is served. End #AmharaGenocide
Genocide Prevention In Ethiopia@GPEthiopia

In remembrance of the 1-year anniversary of the June 18, 2022 #ToleMassacre of ethnic #Amharas by #OLA forces we ask our followers, readers and supporters to strongly advocate for ethnic Amharas who are being cleansed off their country Ethiopia. The #ToleMassacre took place in #WestWollega Zone #Gimbi Woreda #Tole Kebele(precinct), on June 18, 2022. The attackers were reported to be OLA/OLF forces; however, there were prevalent reports from survivors that state operated militias were also involved in the horrific attacks. Communication services and electricity were discontinued in the area in what seems to be an extremely coordinated attack. What was very peculiar about this attack was that some mainstream media reported about the attack early on. Unfortunately, they pegged the death toll at 200-300, by reporting once early during the attack and not revisiting or presenting a follow up update. They also completely discounted the reports of local independent media who had more on the ground access. Find AP’s article claiming 200 dead here: apnews.com/article/ethiop… (Note: AP is a newswire service that is used the most to source news in the West. Almost all MSM media in the west except those that have their own correspondents use news from AP). By the end of the 48th hour, the death toll was confirmed 1551. The death toll of 1551 was not even the final number. The attacks had multiple forms, people were burned alive within their homes, some were cut to pieces even in the mosques they were sheltering. Most of the men in the villages were out for farm work, therefore the attackers were able to mercilessly kill women, children, and senior citizens in the area. From the people they lost and from the bodies they were not able to bury as well as those who perished in the woods, the survivors estimated a death toll of 3,000 people. Award winning journalists like Meaza Mohammed (@mohammed_meaza ) have attempted to follow up with the survivors and have provided a continuous report of their status, most of them are living in IDP camps where they are not getting the necessary help to survive. Some have died due to lack of access to food and water after surviving a genocide. Find GPE’s report on the incident here: [WARNING REPORT CONTAINS GRAPHIC IMAGES] drive.google.com/file/d/1MFp1Pi… The #GPE_AtrocityAlert released at the time here: x.com/gpethiopia/sta… How are these atrocities being handled by the Government and the International community? Hundreds of such atrocities took place over the past five years; however, the ruling party was willing to negotiate with the perpetrators of these crimes without any independent body investigating the extent of the crime, on both the State and non-State actor’s side. Without any framework for justice or recognition of these horrific crimes. Some European countries happily came forward to cover up these crimes by agreeing to facilitate talks between the perpetrators of these crimes and the ruling party that commandeers the genocidal system in the country. VoA’s article on “Peace Talks Between Ethiopian Government, OLA Continue in Tanzania” voanews.com/a/peace-talks-… GPE demands independent investigation into all ethnic based atrocities, genocide, ethnic cleansing, displacement, war crimes, mass gender based violence and all kinds of crimes against humanity that took place against targeted communities throughout the tenure of the genocidal ethnic apartheid system in Ethiopia. #AmharaGenocide is enabled because of the silence of millions who chose to look away. We can end this now by speaking up, and by not aiding the regime in Ethiopia to carryout its genocidal plans. #AmharaGenocide #ToleMassacre #GimbiMassacre

“Mass killings are shockingly common in #Ethiopia” says Amnesty International. The world community condemns ongoing atrocities against the #Amhara people and demands international investigation. As the world observes the 30th Anniversary of the Rwanda Genocide, #AmharaGenocide is underway in Ethiopia.
