I'm on the verge of achieving the dream I've chased for the past three years. It feels good, but nothing more than that. I still live in the same apartment. I still have the same wonderful friends. What changed my life the most was the courage to start. The joy is in the pursuit.

There’s a temptation for painting, film, stories to ‘retreat’ into the past and make ‘historical’ art We should resist that. We need way more present-day art. We need to see our own real lives put into artistic narrative, not just hearing about the past forever

one thing I love about contemporary painting is when it doesn’t shy away from showing mass produced items. we all know this ikea lamp and it instantly sets a mood. suddenly we know more about the atmosphere, the sounds, the smells, the weight of the room

What happens when you post a real Monet and say it’s AI? The coolest art social experiment I’ve seen in a while. Thank you @SHL0MS

Just crossed 150,000+ organic downloads across my iOS apps in the last 30 days. No paid marketing. Just building, iterating, and staying consistent. Still hard to process. Very grateful and very humbled.

She said yes! 💍 A few months ago, I told Shirley we were invited to a work gala at the Frick Museum on the 17th. I hired a calligrapher to make a fake fancy invitation and everything. When we got there, the "gala" staff told us we could explore the collection and to eventually make our way to the garden atrium where the gala party was. We walked through the Fragonard room and I shared the story behind the four “Progress of Love” paintings, from “The Pursuit” to “Love Letters,” and how some people believe the statue in the last piece, “Love Letters,” is Amitié (friendship), which could imply that the climax of love isn’t just passion but friendship. I told her how much I value the relationship and friendship we’ve built over the past couple of years. We then made our way to the atrium where she started to realize that there was no gala. I shared that I commissioned my own "love letter" for my best friend and that I was excited to show it to her. She saw the piece at the end of the garden, admired the details, and eventually noticed the artist placard titled " Shirley, will you marry me? — Rousseau Kazi, 2026 " ...when she looked back, I was on one knee, she said yes (woo!), and then saw her family who flew in from across the country to celebrate the moment with her. Being able to privately explore the museum and take photos with our family was a magical experience. Afterwards, I told her that I got us a table for our family at a restaurant she always wanted to go to. When she got there, she was greeted by 50 of our closest friends. We ate amazing food, caught up with everyone, and I exhaled realizing that I get to spend the rest of my life with a person I love so deeply. Those who know me know that I view myself as a story builder more than anything. I got into building products even because it felt like the best way to share a story at scale. I viewed the proposal as a story that I got to craft and gift to the person I love. We'll hang the art piece in all of our future homes and when people ask her about it, she'll have a nice story to tell and a memory to relive. Thanks to all of my family, friends, vendors, etc., who made this whole thing possible. Still can't believe how it all came together. Easily the best day of my life.

milo i mean this in the kindest possible way. i cut my teeth on twitter doing the same bit you're doing now. critiquing, calling out frauds, being a cynic. it feels really good in the moment. you will spend years undoing the damage you are doing to your soul, let alone your reputation. there is nothing i regret more than those years spent being a cynic. people will grow to resent you, resent your work, and your heart will become so darkened that you'll only be able to create evil like this app you've built. open yourself to love, to believing that others can do things that are good and positive for the world, that your role is, in some instrumental way to enable that creation to happen. yes there is unbelievable scamming, grifting, and fraud. there has always been. but the cool thing about our world is that at the end we'll all get to stand and be judged, that you don't have to spend your life doing it, God will take care of it when the show is over. and if I've learned anything its that life feels better when you're standing in front of the big man having done some good.

Inspired by @emilkowalski , quickly vibe-coded a small tool where you can drop in any SVG, tweak particle physics, control timing and delays, and export everything as code or render it as MP4 / GIF. Built this insanely fast with @claudeai
Emil Kowalski@emilkowalski

Made this interaction of Linear’s dithered logo for our latest release. It’s using canvas with a lot of tiny dots. There’s an invisible circle around the cursor. Any dot inside it gets pushed outward with a cubic falloff so it’s gentle on the edges, and strong at the center.

You have no experience. You’ve never started a company. You’ve never had a full time job. Nike is going to kill you. You’re a kid. You don’t have technical skills. You shouldn’t build hardware. Apple is going to kill you. You can’t build hardware. You can’t measure heart rate non-invasively. Athletes don’t care about recovery. Under Armour is going to kill you. It won’t be accurate. You don’t listen. You’re an ineffective leader. You can’t recruit great talent. You’re going to have to pay every athlete. You can’t measure sleep non-invasively. It’s too expensive to research. Athletes are a small market. The product costs too much to make. The product costs too much to sell. Your valuation is too high. Consumers aren’t going to want it. Hardware is too hard. You should measure steps. Fitbit is going to kill you. You can’t build a marketing engine. You can’t raise enough money. You need a real CEO. Google is going to kill you. You can’t be a subscription. You can’t build a brand. You can’t do consumer in Boston. Your valuation is too high. You shouldn’t make accessories. You shouldn’t make apparel. Lululemon is going to kill you. You can’t predict Covid. Stay in your niche. You are going to run out of money. You can’t build a health platform. Amazon is going to kill you. You can’t measure blood pressure. You can’t get medical approvals. The market is too small. You don’t understand AI. The market is too competitive. It won’t work internationally. The supply chain is too complicated. You can’t build an AI. You can’t raise enough money. It’s too competitive. Healthcare isn’t going to want it. … Just keep going ✌️
