Let's get into it. • 217 Data Centers in Ohio • Ohio is ranked 5th in the nation for the number of Data Centers • Top Developers: Google, Amazon, Meta • Existing Data Centers have increased energy costs by 10-15% per Ohio household. • Developers are given local property tax exemptions of 75% for 15 to 30 years , totaling $2.5 billion - $120 million annually. • Surge in energy consumption strains the existing power grid, resulting in billions of dollars of taxpayer funded infrastructure upgrades (IE: Perry Nuclear Plant). • Rapid data center expansion is drastically consuming farmland, resulting in the decline in Ohio farm industry. • Data Center expansion is driving up the cost of surrounding land, desperately needed for housing development. • Environmental concerns: massive water consumption for cooling, and wastewater contamination into lakes and streams including Lake Erie and the Ohio River. Chemicals: PFAS and f-gas. These are all current facts and statistics. They are destroying our beautiful state. The corrupt Ohio GOP continues to sell out Ohio. Having them financially compensated is going to make it easier for other "de-trans" people to get on that train though, and the med industry settling (to me at least) shows they knew what they were doing is wrong.

Maybe this is a hot take, but I don’t think more settlements should be seen as a good thing. If you want to end this industry via lawsuits, we’re going to need actual trials. Settlements aren’t enough because the payouts are much smaller than at trials. The reputational risk to the doctors is also much smaller since settlements are confidential, media coverage is minimal and there’s not a clear winner/loser like at a trial etc.

On Saturday, @ICEgov arrested Chidozie Wilson Okeke, a Nigerian criminal illegal alien with previous arrests for ASSAULT AND CRIMINAL DRUG POSSESSION. During the arrest, officers followed their training and used the minimum amount of force necessary to make the arrest.  After his arrest, Okeke requested medical assistance, so ICE officers escorted him to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center where medical staff evaluated and cleared him.   During the medical evaluation, a crowd of anti-ICE agitators gathered at the hospital and became violent, damaging several ICE vehicles and assaulting ICE officers.
