Payment From @KoloHub Denied Because I Posted GM Post With a Photo From "sanctioned country"? I am making this public because I believe contributors deserve transparency, and fair treatment. I completed work for Kolo and expected to receive a reward of approximately $150–200. Instead, my payment was delayed for more than a month. During that time, nobody informed me of any problem, violation, investigation, or compliance concern. The issue only surfaced after I repeatedly asked why my payment had not been processed. The explanation I eventually received was that my reward would not be paid because I had allegedly visited a “sanctioned country.” For context: 🔹️I am a Croatian citizen 🔹️Croatia is not a sanctioned jurisdiction 🔹️My visit to Moscow was a short personal trip lasting only a few days 🔹️I was not there for business, politics, activism, or promotion of any government 🔹️My account contains crypto content and sometimes ordinary travel content 🔹️The only "Russia-related" content I posted consisted of few neutral city/landscape photographs for GM posts. At no point was I warned that personal travel to a particular country could result in the loss of earned rewards. At no point was I shown a written policy stating that contributors who visit certain locations, even privately and temporarily, become ineligible for payment. What makes this situation even more difficult to understand is that Kolo itself operates through an international corporate structure that includes entities in jurisdictions such as the UAE and Kazakhstan. Both countries have maintained significantly different approaches toward Russia than many Western governments and have continued various forms of economic and commercial interaction throughout the conflict. That does not mean those jurisdictions have done anything wrong. It does, however, make it difficult to understand why I can be denied payment for a short private visit and while the company itself operates through jurisdictions that maintain far more extensive relationships with Russia than an individual tourist ever could. To be clear, this is not a political statement. This is a payment dispute and a transparency issue. I completed the requested work. I waited more than a month for payment. I was never informed of any problem beforehand. Only after asking for an explanation was I told that a short personal trip and neutral travel photographs were apparently sufficient grounds to withhold my reward. I would also welcome a public response from @PLuchkovskyi , CEO of Kolo, regarding the policy that was used to deny payment in this case. Specifically: 1. Where is this policy published? 2. If such a rule exists, why was it not disclosed before the work was completed? 3. Why was payment delayed for more than a month before any explanation was provided? 4. How does the company justify this standard given its own international operating structure? Until those questions are answered, this decision appears arbitrary, inconsistently applied, and fundamentally ridiculous.

The only thing that matters in consumer software is velocity of shipping. You will regularly be wrong about what people want: no one is a perfect psychologist. But if you are out at the frontlines with concepts everyday, your team will have their finger on the pulse of users and know where to add fuel.

Neobanks built on stablecoins in emerging markets (especially India and Latin America) are turning out to be the only startups founded in the past few years that didn't need to catch the AI tailwind to grow astonishingly fast.

One of the best options for European users. @ether_fi: Allows spending against yield-bearing ETH while maintaining on-chain custody, up to 5% rewards, offers great travel perks, and low fees. @BleapApp: Offers 2% USDC cashback, zero FX fees, and a very friendly UX. Fully non-custodial and focused on everyday usability across Europe. A: @Cypher_HQ_: Friendly fee structure and big limits. Premium tiers unlock lots of perks, but even the free version works well for casual users. @TrusteeGlobal: Near-zero fees and lots of supported chains and tokens. Fully EU-licensed. Every user has their own IBAN. @Thorwallet: Swiss-grade security, self-custodial wallet, fiat on/off-ramp, and near-zero fees. Perfect for global DeFi users seeking integrated banking. @xPortalApp: A polished debit card for the MultiversX ecosystem offering 0.5% rewards in EGLD/UTK. Custodial, but integrated tightly with the xPortal superapp. @solayer_labs: Fully self-custodial with a guaranteed ~4% yield backed by US T-Bills. Comes with high rewards, perks, and potential airdrop eligibility. B: @MetaMask: Offers 1% USDC cashback, minimal fees, and self-custodial architecture. Still in early access and is very limited by regional rollout. @ready_co: Non-custodial card, sleek UX, up to 10% STRK cashback (drops to 3%). Strong Starknet integration, but WL wait is super long. @OfframpXYZ: Self-custodial and offers native yield backed by US T-Bills. Medium fees & no cashback. @KASTcard: Up to 4% on all spending in points and a 3.5-7% APY boost on SOL. Self-custodial with high limits and great Concierge service. @RedotPay: A custodial global card for emerging markets with low minimums. Functional, but lacks rewards and has pretty high withdrawal fees. @BelobabaBank: Self-custodial, hybrid crypto/fiat card. Big focus on privacy and travel convenience. C: @holyheld: Non-custodial card and offers up to 1% cashback. High focus on the EU, but requires paid card tiers and lacks global reach. @coinbase: Fully custodial and only available in the U.S., it lacks modern DeFi integration. However, it has no spending fees, making it convenient for U.S. users. @Bybit_Official: Fully custodial with pretty medium FX and ATM fees. If you're a CEX user, this may be suitable for you. D: @RevolutApp: Fully custodial, medium fees, and minimal crypto support. Awful customer support and unfriendly approach to crypto. @binance: Fully custodial, no Apple Pay/Google Pay support. Very limited functionality. F: @cryptocom: Heavy staking requirements, regional shutdowns, and diminishing perks make it practically unusable. What else did I miss? Hope you enjoyed this post and found some new VALUABLE information. If you wanna support me, I'd appreciate a like, reply, and RT <3
