@ConnorJ_Critic @Keir_Starmer Council budgets are tied to central Government Funding arrangements. Water and Energy companies are regulated industries, so the Government has a responsibility.

I know the cost of living crisis isn't over — but my Plan for Change is starting to put more money in your pocket. Wages are rising, free breakfast clubs are rolling out, and our commitment to the Triple Lock means millions of pensioners will see their state pension increase.

@AndyBurnhamGM @reformparty_uk @ZelenskyyUa Is it a British interest to turn your back on the US and the rest of the entire world for the EU leaders and Ukraine. Is it in your interest to fight Russia?

Normally you can’t escape @reformparty_uk MPs gobbing off on here but interesting, isn’t it, how silent they are about their friend’s campaign to undermine @ZelenskyyUa and Ukraine. Just when you need them to use some influence to protect British interests, they don’t. 🤷🏻‍♂️

MPs just voted for the Government's new Renters’ Rights Bill. It gives new protections for 11 million private tenants, including a ban on no-fault evictions. These will help fix the broken rental market. Shamefully, Tory and Reform MPs voted against it.

Only British citizens and UK residents can sign petitions on the UK Government and Parliament's petitions website. The rules specify that signatories must be from the UK to ensure that only those directly affected by the government's policies have a say in such matters. However, there have been instances where petitions gain international attention, and some individuals from other countries might attempt to sign using various means, but these signatures are not valid under the official rules for influencing a UK general election

@yate51751 @implausibleblog Vauxhall said it was because of rules imposed to speed up the transition to electric vehicles in the UK which partly drove the decision

@implausibleblog Typical Starmer . Scared of Kemi . What she did not advocate was the punitive taxes that are closing this company down. Interesting tho that he is even bothering to consider past Conservative rulings . That did not break a company .

@BenjaminDeRebel @Hoomanbod I thought it was only approximately 200ish actual farmers who would be impacted by the tax. It felt like there was a lot more people there to protest?

So if that the case explains why all the farmers out today were very normal farmers and were all protesting? Or did they all get tricked by big bad Clarkson 🤨 And also once this tax starts what’s the guarantee it will stop there? And if the goal is to stop the rich hording labd then make a rule that if you haven’t been farming for 15 years your liable for the tax And DEFRA and NFU are both saying Labours figures are out of date and based on faulty assumptions

Labour is hiking taxes on billionaires. Don’t be distracted by the farmers protesting in Westminster. Inheritance tax on farmland means the super rich will pay their fair share. Here’s who’s most affected:

Laying a wreath on Remembrance Sunday is a privilege. It isn’t about you, it’s about remembering those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Perhaps Nigel should have laid a wreath in Clacton instead.

🔵 Nigel Farage has claimed “the Establishment” blocked him from laying a wreath at the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday alongside other party leaders Find out more here ⤵️ telegraph.co.uk/politics/2024/…

I am delighted to be the new Shadow Sec for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Labour's Budget of broken promises will hurt rural and coastal Britain and has shown that Labour does not understand the pressures we face. I look forward to holding them to account on food security, climate change, flooding and the survival of family farms. And my wellies are very old Hunters…😉

@WesV18 @theJeremyVine Twice I've been hit by people doing this (never fast mind) because they've panicked that traffic is moving and not looked up before going forward because they're looking at the phone.

@theJeremyVine Not very helpful from both. No, you are not meant to have a phone in your hands behind the wheel, but he is stationary. There is no danger at this point. So while legally Mike is right, its a bit unnecessary and just winding someone up and provoking more hate as demonstrated.
