@jaye_mays Jaye, thank you for remembering your friend. Sorry for your loss. I am horrified for Bridget and her family and yourself and all those affected. I hope and pray there is justice in this world. You are honourable. Thank you. 🙏🤍

This is Bridget Wetzl. She was one of the first girls I was ever friends with who I didn’t consider to have “cooties”. She was funny, cared about animals, and even though she was an elementary school cheerleader, she was not afraid to play tackle football with the rest of the boys. She was born August 21, 1988 in a small town called McDonald, Ohio, and she was kidnapped, raped and murdered on THIS day, 26 years ago. She was lured in by a family friend under the promise of showing her baby raccoons, her favorite. After murdering her, he left her, alone, undressed besides one shoe, posed, on a bike trail, to be found the next day by the police. I will not say his name, and I will continue to hope and pray for his death as I have every other day for 26 years. I will only say HER name, because Bridget DESERVED to live a full life. A HAPPY life. She didn’t deserve to have it cut short in the brutal way that it was. Bridget’s death changed me. I myself was only 11 when she died. It showed me that evil truly was in the world. It wasn’t just something you saw in a cartoon or movie or comic book. It was real. It was in places you didn’t expect, in people you wouldn’t suspect, and it can be closer to you than you realize. Bridget would be 36 today. She could’ve been a mom. A wife. An aunt. She could’ve been the veterinarian she wanted to be and help as many animals as she could. Sadly, we’ll never know. My only hope is that, she’s resting peacefully, and that her killer hasn’t known a moment of peace in 26 years. RIP Bridget 💔💔

This mother said all she got for Mother’s Day was Happy Mother’s Day texts from her 18 and 20 year old kids. So she said she is going to match their energy and when it comes time she is just going to text them Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday this year and that’s it. She said she’s not complaining and loves them to death but she is ready to meet them where they are at now in their life. She said she is sick of going above and beyond for them and basically getting nothing in return. So no more whatever they want gifts, no more money, etc. Sounds a little bit to me like complaining. 🤷‍♂️ What do you think? Do you think she’s right in handling it this way? Do you think that’s a fair way to handle it? Or do you think she’s overreacting and they are just typical young adults? Do you do things for your kids expecting the same in return?

@MyNetConsultant @TheEXECUTlONER_ @aj_inapi What do you mean by this in your mother’s case? “Her body, her choice hits hard.” I think it’s good that they both remarried each other. They obviously loved each other or “something”. Life is hard but if they kept coming back together wow that’s great (I think)

In 1995, 15-year-old Nicole van den Hurk was raped & murdered on her way to school in the Netherlands. The case went cold for 16 years. Then, suddenly, her stepbrother Andy confessed on Facebook: “I killed my little sister” Police arrested him… but all was not as it seemed. It was, in fact, a deliberate false confession. Andy’s plan? Force them to exhume Nicole’s body for modern DNA testing. The insane gamble worked. In 2014, the real killer, a man with prior rape convictions, was caught & sentenced to 12 years.

There’s a shoe that adjusts and expands five sizes and lasts a child up to five years. It was invented by a young American named Kenton Lee, who was volunteering at an orphanage outside Nairobi, Kenya in 2007. Walking to church one day with the children, he looked down at a girl beside him in a white dress and saw she’d cut open the front of her shoes so her toes could stick out. Her feet had outgrown them and no new ones were coming. He went home to Idaho and spent the next six years figuring out how to build a shoe that could grow with a child. Nike, Adidas, Crocs, and Toms all turned the idea down. He ended up buying 20 pairs of Crocs himself and cutting them up to prototype it. The Shoe That Grows finally launched in 2014. Around 400,000 pairs have now been distributed in over 100 countries. Over 1.5 billion people worldwide get sick from soil parasites that enter the body through bare or exposed feet. Mostly children.

Tales from the psych ward just went nuclear. You’re a psych ward nurse. You’ve got THREE patients with lice. You buzz one guy’s head to save the day. He thanks you profusely…then immediately starts YEETING fistfuls of lice-and-egg-infested hair straight at you while belting “IT’S RAINING EGGS, HALLELUJAH! IT’S RAINING EGGS!” 😂💀 He screamed like he was in a horror movie. Bro said his soul left my body and that his luscious locks are too precious for this war. 🤣 Still wearing the hairnet in the car. Refusing to take it off until he can find a shower. Lice is NOT winning today. 😭🪳 Nurses, psych techs, healthcare warriors… y’all got him beat or what??

@JoyfulLudite @rawmilkhoney Yes it’s unfortunate that our social instincts were degraded over time. And particularly for the individuals it affected- and now for all the future generations. All parents try their best if they’re good.

My sister’s old best friend used to have a brother in high school, total nerd, wore high waters to school. One day I took him to the side and I told him he looked like a dork and that if he ever wanted a girl friend or to make friends he needs to change the way he dresses and feel more confident about himself. I told him to drop the pants, do his hair and stop dressing like his dad. Kid you not that week he asked his mom to take him shopping, changed his look completely and was a menace since. Made a ton of friends and got a girlfriend soon after. Boys are losers today because they are raised by women who don’t want to hurt their feelings and loser dads who don’t care. Boys grow through criticism, nothing harms a boy like babying him

@JoyfulLudite @rawmilkhoney What about your dad? Boys need male role models just as much and also more than female role models and that’s what got us into this situation in the first place. No male figures to counter balance. And it’s the same for the girls. Everyone needs a dad but none to be found.

@rawmilkhoney Different details but I now realize this is what happened with my younger brother. His social opportunities were so bad my mom was too afraid to further destroy his confidence by being honest/redirecting/forcing him to change. Now at almost 30 he, and we, are paying for it.

@DaleEarnhardt3_ @AnyBodies76 @BradThundercocl @datingbyblaine I’ll point out it is the same with men. Most (normal) American or westernized women love European men too. So it’s more of a western degradation of honour and culture in my opinion. You just have to find good people anywhere you go.

~ Day in my life as a matchmaker ~ Potential client: why can’t you tell women I’m 39? Me: because you’re 46. Potential client: my age on Hinge is 39, and when I meet a woman for a date, I just reveal my true age upfront and say, “That's only time I’ll ever lie to you.” Me: uhh... Potential client: it’s quite effective. Only one woman ever has walked out on me after I say my real age. Me: well you're on the phone with me, so it can’t be that effective 🤨

This wife shares the one simple thing she asked for on her birthday — just a cake with candles. He asked her what kind of cake she wanted and she told her husband she makes so many decisions every day and really just wanted him to pick any cake because she’d be happy with whatever he chose. Even though he doesn’t like making decisions, he stepped up and surprised her with... a bright green dinosaur cake 😭 I'm wondering where the candles are. Would you have been angry about this or laughing? It's so crazy that he chose this, that I'd be laughing.

Me: "So, do you want a regular cheeseburger?" Customer: "No. I want my burger to have bacon on it. But if it comes with bacon, then I don't want bacon." Me: "You want a bacon cheeseburger, and if there is bacon on it, you don't want the bacon." Customer: "Right." Me: "But you definitely want the bacon on the burger." Customer: "Right." (Now all his friends are laughing, and I have no idea what to say. Suddenly, the customer realizes what he's been saying.) Customer: "PICKLES! Oh my God, I don't want PICKLES on the burger!" When I was 7 months pregnant, my husband and I went to a party and they had cherry pie. I brought one slice home specifically for myself because at that stage of pregnancy I thought about food constantly. I put it in the fridge, went to bed, and fully planned on eating it the next day. The next morning I woke up already thinking about that pie. I walked to the kitchen excited, opened the fridge, and the container was empty. That man ate it. Not even after a few days. Not after asking me if I still wanted it. This happened within hours. I just stood there staring into the fridge trying to process what I was seeing. Then I started crying so hard he thought something actually terrible had happened. And honestly I still defend my.......

Back in the 80s, all the Disney classics were mostly from the 30s into the 70s. We had a VHS tape of Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too, then three Donald Duck shorts, then Disney's Sing Along: Heigh Ho, Then the TV version of Alice in Wonderland, then Lady and the Tramp. We watched it all the time.

The longer you stay on carnivore, the more you realise chicken is the saddest meat in the supermarket. Not fat enough to fuel a man through the afternoon. You finish the plate and your stomach is already drafting a complaint letter. What fat it does have is heavy in omega-6. Inflammation in a goujon. The breast is wet cardboard with a hint of disappointment. Needs marinades, glazes, sauces, rubs, and a brave face just to get it down. The thigh is the best the bird has to offer, which tells you everything. I used to eat chicken without a second thought. Now a plate of it tastes like an apology. The food industry adores it because it's cheap to produce, ships easily, and the margins are excellent. They call it "lean and healthy." Lean, in this case, is doing the heaviest lifting in the English language. It means "structurally a meat, nutritionally a polite suggestion." A cow gives you a meal. A chicken gives you a portion. There's a reason no civilisation in human history has built itself on the back of a poultry farm.
