Admit it: Your kid mispronounced a word three years ago and now the whole family says it that way. What's the word in your house? (We still say 'pasketti' and I’m not stopping anytime soon.)

Iranian woman holding a gun in Lur: Netanyahu, come! You're nothing! Just come and face the women of Iran. Come! Just come and fight me! I only need one shot. I come every night, I come with this every night. I'll bring my children, I'll bring my husband. We'll never leave the battlefield, not in any way! Our forces on the battlefield, we're in the city square, the mosque, and the streets every night. We've got their backs, we kiss their hands.

@rushicrypto With no respect, there are these flying machines which are airborne over Iran day and night with no opposition. Pretty sure they can make it over mountains…😂

Dear Mr Trump, These are mountains you will face in Iran. No army with 20kg equipments, convoys of humvee and abrams could march through this. No Tomahawk missiles and munitions could punch a hole in this mountains. This is not a country built with fortress, this is a fortress built as a country. With all due respect, you will not win.

Nobody in the Trump administration planned for Iran to shut the Strait of Hormuz. Nobody planned for sustained missile strikes on American bases across the Gulf. Nobody planned for an energy crisis. Nobody planned for Europe to look at Washington, shrug, and walk the other way. Nobody, it turns out, planned for very much at all. Read the accounts of how this war was decided and you are left with one deeply uncomfortable realisation: the people who launched it appear to have been genuinely surprised by almost everything that followed. The Iranians shot back. The allies didn’t show up. The oil price went vertical. All of it, apparently, news to them. Which leaves two questions so obvious they’re almost embarrassing to ask. What exactly did they think was going to happen? And did anyone, in any room, at any point, think further ahead than the applause? Gandalv / @Microinteracti1

@NiohBerg He’s known. It’s just his way of throwing nonsense in the air and most of the world doesn’t understand his tactics. He is not negotiating.

@DerekEsq @Dr_Waggles @NancyMace I’m moderate/left and I think it depends on the context and the picture doesn’t give us enough context. 1) What do the banners say? 2) Is the iman of their mosque known for giving sermons on death to America or not? 3) More to know before making conclusions :)

When I'm Governor, neither the Muslim Brotherhood nor radical Islam will flourish in South Carolina. Not in Rock Hill. Not in any town in our state. Sharia law will have no home here. South Carolina STRONG.

@NewSamawal I know it’s hard to believe, but as an American who didn’t vote for Trump and doesn’t believe a word coming out of his mouth, the US military is coming. Negotiations mentioned by Trump are complete nonsense. This is how he operates.

From a contact in Iran 🇮🇷: Hi Carlos, happy to share what I’m seeing on the ground. Across different settings, Tehran, the north, small gatherings, everyday conversations, the dominant mood right now isn’t mobilization, but contained anticipation shaped by risk. People are watching closely, but holding back. After the costs already paid, from past protests to the recent war, the central concern isn’t just whether change happens, but whether it stops halfway. What I hear repeatedly is a fear of a partial outcome: not a real transition, but a reconfiguration within the same system. Figures like Ghalibaf are not perceived as alternatives in any meaningful sense. Many feel that path has already been tested, and rejected, from within. At the same time, there is a clear expectation that any internal movement would come after the military phase concludes, not during it. So for now, the posture is deliberate waiting under uncertainty, not passivity. Another point that comes up consistently: discussion of negotiations with the current system tends to generate frustration rather than confidence. The only way some people make sense of it is as a tactical move to create internal fractures, otherwise, it’s often perceived as a misreading of what people have already risked and signaled. Taken together, what stands out is not a lack of willingness, but a conditional readiness, dependent on whether the outcome points to a genuine break from the current structure. Of course, these are grounded observations rather than broad claims, but they’ve been strikingly consistent across different conversations.

@norbayuv That’s what I was thinking the gift was too. It was something related to a regime member being eliminated.
