Ireland prepares to take on the European Union Presidency in July. Scotland prepares to be told to shut up and put up in the UK Union. 🤷‍♂️

Recently, British broadcasters have changed the Camera View every time an Asian Player received their medal or lifted a trophy. This instance occured to Aoba Fujino, who scored in the FA Cup final. Everybody is welcome to decide if its by mistake or design.

As a police officer, I want nothing more than transparency/accountability, believe me. But as a Mother, I can’t imagine, on top of my already unimaginable pain, seeing the desperation of some to release the last moments of my precious boy’s life to be shared with all.

@TheFreds If this turns out to be the case, or if 3 body cams malfunctioned at the exact same time, we have a serious problem, one that would go to the heart of police training and fitness for purpose, cannot be solved on social media, time to question what the main function of police is

Jacqui (@JacquiDeevoy1) is one of the many journalists who totally understand what Operation Talla is about and how constitutionally grave its implications are for the State and in particular for Britain's police forces and policing institutions. She is also one of the very few indeed, who have possessed and exercised the courage to report on it 🙏❤️
Jacqui Deevoy@JacquiDeevoy1

I’ve sent a version of this - a story on Operation Talla - to the investigations editor at the @Telegraph Let’s take bets on what the response might be. This is my Substack take on it: open.substack.com/pub/jacquideev… The story in the image below is my article I wrote for The Light @TheLightPaperUK Attention: @EthicalApproach

@Liyana338931741 We all make mistakes, this is widely accepted by most, I think, but when mistakes are made, and there is gain, we need action take, it's either incompetence or corruption , both should be punished

Any system that heavily shields decision-makers from scrutiny while placing the full burden of error on those harmed risks creating a dangerous imbalance. The challenge is finding a balance between protecting officials from frivolous claims and ensuring that serious misconduct, negligence, or systemic failures can still be investigated and addressed. Many reform advocates around the world make the same argument: accountability is not about punishing honest mistakes, but about ensuring that when serious errors occur, there are effective mechanisms to uncover the truth, learn from failures, compensate those harmed, and prevent the same mistakes from happening again. @Shuggie556 @AccusedScots @seanbwparker @Surviving51D @subster121 @franticworry @RebelGal01 @RoseCaporale @purposeday @OldLodskins

ETHICAL APPROACH UK@EthicalApproach·
The future of British policing no longer appears to rest primarily in the hands of honest front-line officers attempting to serve the public under increasingly difficult conditions. It now appears to rest disproportionately in the hands of senior command structures, strategic coordination bodies, communications frameworks and institutional reputation management systems. That is becoming a profound problem. Public confidence in policing is not necessarily destroyed by the behaviours of constables on the street. It is more likely destroyed when senior institutional leadership begins appearing more concerned with... • narrative control, • reputational preservation, • operational defensiveness, • and institutional insulation than transparency, accountability and evidential integrity. The deeper constitutional danger is as follows: Once the public begin believing that oversight mechanisms, command structures and institutional responses are designed primarily to protect the system itself, rather than objectively confront wrongdoing within it, trust does not merely decline - It collapses completely. Once collapse reaches that stage, a difficult question inevitably emerges - Has British policing now travelled so far into institutional self-protection that the promise of meaningful accountability risks becoming little more than ceremonial language which the public no longer truly believes at all? That is no longer an extremist question. It is rapidly becoming a mainstream constitutional one.

@ProudScotCelt @speddmeister I know which accounts Richard is referring to. Their ‘opinion’ invariably involves condemning the actions of the officers. The crucial evidence they are missing are the accounts of the officers themselves. So perhaps it would be better to say nothing, rather than fuel this ⬇️
