Supreme Court order says mother tongue education should be mandated & it should be choice of parents. Why Tulunad has to suffer with multiple languages ? Why don’t implement Tulu + English for Tulunad ? Why such hypocrisy @siddaramaiah ? @utkhader

The food vendor charged all passengers ₹130 for the meal on the train, but he charged me ₹150 for the same food. I filed a complaint on Rail Madad by calling 139. Within 15 minutes, the manager came to our seat. He returned the extra money that had been charged and said, “Please withdraw the complaint, otherwise a fine of ₹55,000 will be imposed

@asxna Cheap labor is a symptom of underdevelopment, not a sustainable "job protector." Strong economies have appreciating currencies because productivity and confidence rise. Relying on rupee weakness to "save jobs" is in bad taste

Its obvious how depreciating INR is bad, but did you realise it also keeps your jobs safe, as India becomes cheaper place to hire for any large MNC?

Finance minister calling salaried class as high income group is irritating like hell. People start from less. High salary comes at a later point where job insecurity is high, kids going to college, EMI & end of the career. The definition of 'HIGH' for her is also unclear.

Never Buy LG Washing Mashine Ever We purchased an LG washing machine just 3 months ago. At the time of purchase, both the salesperson and LG assured us of a 2-year comprehensive warranty on all parts. However, within just 3 months, the ring broke. When we contacted the LG service center, their technician informed us that this part is not covered under warranty and would be chargeable. This is completely unacceptable. Neither the salesperson nor LG informed us at the time of purchase that certain parts would be excluded from warranty coverage. Such lack of transparency is misleading and unfair to consumers. @LGIndia is looting consumers in name of warranty I Personally recommend that never buy anything from fraud Company LG @LGIndia

This picture says more than a thousand words. It captures, in one frame, what our political culture has been reduced to. A national icon like Venkatesh Prasad, a man who brought pride to India, whose spells against Pakistan are etched permanently in our collective memory, is today standing with folded hands before a Chief Minister. Why? Not for any wrongdoing. Not for any failure of duty. But simply because he did his job. Because he did not anticipate that the brittle egos of politicians would be bruised. Because he did not bend to a culture that expects free tickets, special treatment, and unquestioned entitlement. This is the tragedy. When those who have served the nation with excellence are made to stand in deference, and those in public office demand privilege over accountability, something has gone fundamentally wrong. This is not just about one incident. This is about a deeper decay. A political class that sees power as entitlement, not responsibility should go. A system where excellence bows, and arrogance sits should go. A new generation of political class is badly needed at all levels. If this does not disturb us, nothing will. India deserves better. For whatever it is worth, I stand with @venkateshprasad. And I know, millions will.

“I can give names of 3–4 women who became MPs who had to sleep with the PM; one even became a minister.” ~ Subramanian Swamy What a spectacular fall from grace. A man once taken seriously now tossing around allegations so reckless, so unsubstantiated, that they say far more about him than about anyone he is trying to target. This isn’t boldness, it’s irresponsibility dressed up as bravado. There was a time when his words carried weight. Now they carry noise. Baseless, flippant, and utterly unbecoming. This isn’t discourse, it’s gutter-level commentary. And to see Madhu Kishwar supporting him is an utter disgrace.

People often idolise B. R. Ambedkar but conveniently overlook certain nuances of history His surname Ambedkar was given by a Brahmin teacher and several of his early educators were Brahmins This reflects a more complex social reality than a simple oppressor oppressed narrative That said it is inaccurate to claim that all renowned teachers freedom fighters or revolutionaries were Brahmins Indian history is diverse and contributions have come from people of many different communities However it is true that Brahmins have historically been associated with scholarship education and intellectual traditions The larger issue is this hating an entire caste simply because one disagrees with its perceived historical role is irrational Brahmins are not a monolithic group they differ widely in economic status beliefs professions and life circumstances Many do not enjoy any special privilege and face challenges like anyone else Criticism of policies such as EWS reservation by calling it Sudama Aarakshan also reflects inconsistency If the goal is truly to uplift the disadvantaged then economic hardship should be acknowledged regardless of caste Otherwise it creates the impression that the focus is selective upliftment rather than genuine equality Moreover the caste system was sustained over centuries through broader societal acceptance across multiple communities Blaming a single group oversimplifies a deeply complex social structure Discriminating against Brahmins today in the name of correcting historical injustices does not solve the problem it merely continues the cycle of prejudice in a different form If such thinking persists it risks creating new divisions rather than fostering equality.
