20+ years ago, I read a book called Manufacturing Consent by Noam Chomsky. This is EXACTLY what the media is doing right now, and desperately trying to remove Poilievre. Chomsky argued that the media "are effective and powerful ideological institutions that carry out a system-supportive propaganda function, by reliance on market forces, internalized assumptions, and self-censorship, and without overt coercion". The difference today is that the reliance is not on market forces. ITS RELIANCE IS ON THE GOVERNMENT THAT SUBSIDIZES THEIR EXISTENCE. The idea that Pierre should step down, is an idea manufactured by THEM. Not by Conservatives. The hypocrisy is this: the same people that want Pierre removed, are the same people that praise his ideas, when Carney steals them, and waters them down…to the point of ineffectiveness. This is what is happening in Canada right now: the Manufacturing of Consent.

#ONStorm #ONwx Quite the significant severe weather outbreak unfolding to the west of Southern Ontario this afternoon! At last check, there are around 20 active tornado warnings across Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois and Missouri. We’re closely watching the potential for some severe weather tomorrow in parts of Southern Ontario, but right now it’s looking nowhere near as intense as what’s happening today. It’s been an incredibly active spring across the Great Lakes when it comes to severe weather. Michigan has already reached its average number of confirmed tornadoes for the entire year, and it’s only April! 😮 The Great Lakes have put us through a lot this winter, but they also act as a natural storm shield, helping protect us from some of these early season outbreaks across the border. So that’s something to be thankful about! - Brennen
