Groundhog Day here with @AnglianWater many visits, many noshows and four visits doing the same thing to no avail. We have sewage seeping into our walls and they don’t seem to have the will to sort it. Disgraceful. @alistrathern

@benhabib6 This was obvious from the start Ben, parents and schools should have made this more clear. It has never been hidden just simply ignored in the name of ‘it is your right to have a uni education’.

The student loan repayment scheme is a scam. Students are sold the expectation that once they earn over a certain amount they will then have 9% taken off their monthly income to start repaying the loan back, with the debt being wiped off after 30 years. However, what is kept quiet is that due to the extraordinarily high interest rates, students can’t possibly pay off their loan. It’s effectively a permanent 30 year tax that graduates are saddled with. Rachel Reeves even admits here that it’s being used to fund the NHS. If students were aware that it was merely impossible to pay back the loan with their monthly contributions, many would rethink whether university really was the appropriate pathway for them.
