@mill8914 @EnglerYves I can tell you that we just didn’t do peacekeeping. We had a small percentage of our military deployed for peacekeeping, there was a rotation. We always were and always trained for war.

15 years ago today NATO began bombing Libya. A Canadian oversaw the campaign, 7 CF-18 fighter jets participated & 2 Canadian naval vessels patrolled Libya’s coast. Canadian special forces also participated in a war that killed thousands & stoked conflict across Africa’s Sahel

Currently Canada doesn't have the ability to launch space projects on our own, instead relying on the United States. That means turning south for getting satellites into orbit. With this project, that will change.
I'm happy to see this investment being made in Nova Scotia, with the new launch pad expected to come into operation by 2028. This is an important investment for Canadian sovereignty.
Another reason why Nova Scotia is the defence capital of Canada. 🇨🇦
