Great, another terrible recommendation. Seems like there is a purposeful attack going on lately. "Erythritol is going to kill you!", "Keto is going to kill you!" and not "Salt is going to kill you!". Just more bad science creating even worse advise. A thread... 1/

I lived off-grid up in the mountains for 4 years, here’s what I learned: 1. Solar panes are not enough. 2. Chores are good for your soul. 3. Winter is brutal, be prepared. 4. Keep the pantry stocked. 5. Off grid is overrated, community is more important.

Did you ever regret getting a dog? I’m considering it (I’m only interested in medium to large dogs), but I already feel bad about leaving it alone a big chunk of the day in an apartment or worry about traveling. So I’m already talking myself out of it.

@wxbrad I only look at your info when winter weather is approaching. Some apps were predicting 5-8 inches early last week. You nailed it early on. Thanks for posting while traveling, not easy to do.

I swear I'm not trying to harp on this but even for someone that has been doing this for over 24 years I am shocked at how far our forecasting has come. There are very few surprises on the overall forecast, I guess we start arguing the finer details now instead.

It still amazing to me for a place that hasn't seen 1" of snow in over 3 years and only averages 3.7" that we are able to forecast snow 3-5 days out and it actually snows. Yet, some people still complain we were off by .10-.20" liquid equivalent. 🤷‍♂️
