Muslim jury's will never convict a fellow Muslim. This needs to be looked into because no matter how violent or degenerate the crime Muslims will never find another Muslim guilty. Its just another level to the 2 tier justice system in UK

@TheKouk At this point you must be doing this deliberately to use such biased euphemisms. Deteriorating labour market? Labor’s over regulation and strangulation of businesses. Slowing population growth? Slightly lower immigration. New listings? People bailing out, not new houses/supply.

Time’s up. The Albanese Government must do better, to stop Australians being the world’s biggest losers, with gambling losses of $87 million every day. We must ban gambling ads and establish a national regulator. After waiting 1000 days, the Government’s response on gambling reform is underwhelming, but the public support for stronger action is overwhelming. The "death tax" scare campaign is the laziest dog whistle in the playbook. Here are the facts straight from the Budget papers and ATO: Inheritance isn't taxed. Estates aren't taxed. Farms are exempt. Small business CGT concessions are retained in full. Existing testamentary trusts are grandfathered. Fixed testamentary trusts can still be set up for new wills at zero extra tax. The only change: new discretionary testamentary trusts created after 12 May 2026 will pay a 30% minimum on trust income from 2028. There are about 10,500 testamentary trusts in Australia — 1% of all trusts. And only the discretionary, income-splitting variety set up from now on is caught. 30% is what a nurse on $80k already pays on her top dollar. The Right isn't defending battlers. They're defending the tax planning industry that lets wealth split income across grandkids and bucket companies to pay less than wage earners on the same money. If you want to leave assets to your kids, nothing stops you. What's stopping is the loophole.

Most of those ferociously complaining about the budget have never worked in public policy, never had to consider balancing the huge issues in a $800 billion a year budget, never implemented reforms that impact all 28 million Australians, never copped the public hate campaigns against them & their families. We are seeing the lid being lifted on the priorities of those people.

@TheKouk It’s not an “$800 billion a year” budget. Last year it was $750 billion and before Covid it was $460 billion. In other words, no one is ever balancing this budget. They’re just inexorably growing it and grasping for more revenue to cover their inability to contain any costs.

@Tank9999 Nurses, firies and ambos don’t really pay tax. Their entire income comes from the taxes paid by others. If private sector stopped paying tax, the public sector couldn’t pay its own wages. They could all be paid $1 million a week and taxed 99.8% and it wouldn’t matter.
