@drjkahn @VigilantFox @joerogan The United States has a significantly higher chronic disease rate compared to other developed countries. The United States consumes the most pharmaceuticals globally, so the fact he didn’t go to medical school just doesn’t seem that important to me.

NEW: Joe Rogan Guest Drops a Bomb on Statins—40 Million Americans May Be Taking Them for the Wrong Reason. Doctors have been trained to fear cholesterol. But what if the real danger isn’t high cholesterol—it’s misunderstanding it? Millions are taking statins... and it may be doing more harm than good. 🧵THREAD

@GoAngelo @mmfa It’s all about the message. Rogan and Musk were democrats until the left moved to the fringe. The left still has the legacy media, yet the message is making them irrelevant.

1. What you see here is clearest illustration why things are so messed up and why it cannot get any better until this asymmetry is addressed. Put simply: right-wing has narrative dominance. My org (@mmfa) did this study and been sounding this alarm for years. Some thoughts...

@marwilliamson In reality, corruption can manifest in various forms, even within the well-intentioned programs you mentioned. Combating corruption is essential for preserving democracy. Unchecked corruption erodes public trust, undermines the rule of law, and distorts the democratic process.

“They’re exposing the corruption!” is today’s propagandist’s mantra. But medical research is not corruption. Feeding the hungry is not corruption. Educational grants are not corruption. Anti-poverty programs are not corruption. AIDS prevention is not corruption. Consumer protection is not corruption. Emergency medical aid is not corruption. They’re not trying to get rid of corruption. They’re trying to get rid of a democratic government.

RFK Jr.’s appointment to HHS is arguably the most important cabinet decision of our lifetime, possibly in history. No cabinet appointment has ever carried so much weight. The future of American health—and countless lives—rests on the vote of 100 senators. If RFK Jr. is not confirmed, we will never truly fix American health. This is no exaggeration. My plea to all senators is simple: Look beyond party politics. Look beyond mainstream media narratives and labels. Look beyond the noise surrounding the Kennedy name. Focus on what matters most: the well-being of our children. This man has sacrificed everything—friends, family, money, power, influence, reputation, and more. The only reason anyone would make such sacrifices is because they are driven by a higher calling—a task greater than themselves. We must love our children more than we hate each other.

Dear Superintendents and Golf Staff, If you see players spend a lot of time searching for balls in the rough... especially when groups are all poking around together... your rough is probably too high. This slows down the pace of play and makes the game less enjoyable. Also, setting up courses with 4+ inch U.S. Open rough for everyday amateurs is less than ideal. If you believe that’s how their rounds should go, I’d really encourage you to reconsider. Thanks, Lou

Eating healthy is great, but it's not cheap. The chemicals and additives that go into processed foods substantially reduce their cost. If new laws force families to switch to all organic diets, grocery bills would skyrocket. Families are already struggling to pay current prices.

Overthinking used to run my life. I was a slave to my thoughts. A prisoner in my own mind. Part of the problem was underfeeling. Another part was underdoing. There was something else though… Something that eluded my awarness for what seemed like forever… Identity. As silly as it may sound, I didn’t know who I was until recently. I don’t mean what I like to do, or what kind of person I am, or what my job title is, or who I serve with my business… I mean who I really am. Buckle up, cuz shit is about to get deep… ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Beyond the field of body sensations, Beyond the facade of thoughts, Beyond the sea of emotions, Beyond the 5 senses… There is something… Deep within. Everyone has this something, But few ever realize its existence, Let alone figure out what it really is. So what the fuck is it? Hold on, we’ll get there… First, I need to provide you with some background info… We all hear voices inside our head. “You should put that bag of chips away, you’ve had enough.” “Nah, a couple more, it’s vacation.” Or “You’re not good enough to get this job. The interviewer can see right through your bullshit. They won’t hire you.” “No, you’re well qualified, you have experience, you have credentials, you deserve this job!” Or “How come I’m so lazy? Why didn’t I just do the work I was supposed to do this morning? Now I gotta work on it now, while my family is out having fun.” Sometimes the voices talk to each other. Sometimes they argue with each other. Sometimes one voice makes sense and you listen to it. Sometimes none of the voices make sense. So which voice do you listen to?? And which voice is the real you??? You might say your intuition is the real voice. Or your conscience is the real voice. The problem with that is… Who notices your intuition? When you hear your conscience speak, Who is the one listening to what it’s saying? The real you is something deeper than any of these voices. The real you goes beyond any human parts (mind, body, heart, soul, intuition, conscience). The real you is difficult to describe… “When you label me, you negate me.” - Sören Kierkegaard. Words are crude tools that can only give you a vague idea of what is described. But I’ll do my best here… ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The real you is the observer. The one who sits deep within and watches. Watches what? Everything! Every sensory input you’ve had in your whole life, going back to when you were in the womb, is seen by the real you. The real you knows you better than you know yourself. Because you hide things from yourself. You bury things. You push them deep down because they are uncomfortable to deal with. The real you sees everything. You can’t hide anything from it. You have 3 options when dealing with the real you: 1. Overthinking • Ignore the real you. • Ignore your inner landscape. • Let the things you’ve pushed down stay there. • Never face what’s buried within. • Never free yourself from that burden. • Operate out of your head. • Think your way through life. 2. Underfeeling • Act on impulse. • React to whatever is going on around you. • Have an external orientation. • Focus on what is outside. • Don’t look within. • Don’t examine your own feelings. • Only look to others for guidance. 3. The Real You • Let go of what is outside. • Observe. Don’t attach. • Let go of what is inside. • Don’t get caught up in the storm of thoughts, feelings, desires, and impulses. • Let go completely. • So the only thing left is the real you. The one that sits deep within and sees it all. The real you is something that is in this world, but not of it. It is the calm in the eye of the hurricane. It is deeply immersed in life and all that goes on around it, AND simultaneously comfortably detached and safe from all the drama. This is a difficult way of being to master. Yet it is how we were meant to live. Next time you find yourself getting sucked into social media scrolling, someone else’s drama, or the latest political news… Next time you notice you are cut off from your feelings… Next time you catch yourself trapped in your head… Next time you question your identity… Remember who you really are.

This post likely won’t get a lot of engagement - my posts on composting, regenerative agriculture, and the connection to spirituality (and how this all relates to the chronic disease epidemic) rarely do. But I can’t stop, and I won’t stop! 😄 because it’s the most important thing. Here are a few thoughts on why: The Law of Conservation of Mass says that matter cannot be created or destroyed but can just change forms. When cycles of nature are working properly, matter gets constantly recycled into useful forms. And so there is an endless and creative potential to the Earth (and more broadly the cosmos) that is fundamentallty generative and artful. But in just a few millennia, human brains have evolved to the point where we have a unique ability to “play with” and mold matter in more complex synthetic forms — like new chemicals and materials, many of which get “stuck” in that form and can’t be recycled in natural ways (the best example of this is plastic and landfills). Simultaneously, we are killing the biological entities in the earth and oceans that help with recycling of matter (soil microorganisms, gut microbiome, worms, ocean algae, etc) that could help clean up the messes we are making. All of this recent human activity leads to a funneling of the relatively *finite* atoms in existence OUT of the generative cycle of matter for long periods of time. This is not good in my opinion. Damming rivers thoughtlessly, creating endless landfills, putting human bodies in concrete graves where they can’t decompose, creating unfathomable amounts of plastic, creating mass sewage systems instead of composting… all of this sequesters usable matter into unusable form and/or blocks the natural circulation of the Earth. This depletes the life-giving potential of planet Earth. There are many arguments for why these aspects of modern civilization are unmodifiable, but the reality is, we are smart enough to figure solutions out for things like waste and packaging without destroying the planet. Los Angeles produces 98,952 TONS of non-compostable solid waste trash PER DAY. What is the endgame is here? Truly? We need to compost all food, all bodies, all human waste, and not build products out of human-made materials that are virtually non-decomposable. We need to stop manipulating matter into chemicals that impair life. We need to stop looking for shortcuts. We need to act with HUMILITY towards the wisdom of the Earth and nurture her cycles rather than try to control and dominate them.

Today is my 37th birthday. Yesterday I went to the US senate and spoke my truth - as a physician, as a woman, and a living being striving to act on the signals I am perceiving and the intuition I feel. If there is one thing I feel at this moment in my life at 37, it is that cultivating healthy bodies is of real importance as it is one of the ways that we honor this mysterious MIRACLE of life and nurture the material receiver through which we might be able to connect with spirit, with God. Our unhealthy bodies are a distraction and impediment to the bliss that we can experience right now in the simple recognition of our oneness with all things. Right now, many levers of society in our material world make being healthy extremely challenging for so many. There is mass suffering that needn’t be, because we are - I believe - distraction, confused, and lost, In the swirl of the cosmos, there is something happening in our little corner that feels like it glitching. Life is on assault. Our Earth, the Mother through which God allowed us to come into human form by assembling atoms from her into us, is being destroyed at our own hands, and so of course, so are we. We have broken the cycles of life, and so we are, or course, breaking. I don’t believe the answers to this are going to be strictly technological, because technology often seems to have the intent of outsmarting nature, with I don’t think is possible. I believe they need to be based in humility, care, and respect for our Mother. 🌎 We, together, can right all of this. I think we can do it rapidly. I think we NEED to do it rapidly. We can protect our earth, protect each other, and get back on track to pursue our highest calling in this precious moment in this lifetime. This is what I came to say to the US government yesterday. PROFOUNDLY grateful to the other speakers on the panel, @SenRonJohnson , @RobertKennedyJr , and @calleymeans for leadership on this panel.
