That’s a problem.
The First Amendment protects your right to be in public, assemble, and engage in expressive activity. Government doesn’t get to shut that down for everyone because of a few bad actors. Their “exceptions” just invite selective enforcement and viewpoint discrimination.
This won’t hold up.
I understand the concern - but you can’t fix a problem by violating constitutional rights
To City Council - don’t do this. Vote no.
If you pass it - I will have to engage. We will be in court immediately and I will win. Let’s just skip this exercise.

I am posting so everyone has it. I need to read it carefully - but at fist glance - the “assault weapons” ban seems to be intact with expansion of what an assault weapon is. This appears to have made what the general assembly passed worse for gun owners.
