@arunkumar3112 If you get hypoglycaemia that means you have too little sugar. Of course you want more sugar your brain is trying to keep you alive. Protein is good too but you need to replenish your glycogen to stop being hungry.

Avoid morning carby breakfast. Why? - spike insulin, crashes blood sugar, and increases carb/Sugar cravings throughout the day. - disrupts the natural fat burning process. - worsen insulin resistance - your body wants more sugar. Stop wrecking your metabolism. Your morning breakfast should be high protein which keeps fuller for longer.

@ZevCyber @wilsonhlthcoach I think you are right but for I removed the fat instead. I can eat carbs ad libitum and feel fine. It's more enjoyable. Usually at least 300g carbs for breakfast that keep me full until evening :)

@wilsonhlthcoach Salt, fat and carbs together are a recipe for a health disaster. For me, cutting out the carbs was the answer I had been looking for. Inflammation is way down as is wright. Even adding back in a small amount of healthy carbs (much above 30g/day) and my BP crept up 10 pts.

Previous diet: - Heavy plant-based, high complex carb & sugars, lean meats, low-fat dairy - Salt/sodium 1g-2g/day BP: - 130s/80s New diet: - Fatty red meat, eggs, full-fat dairy, butter - Salt/sodium 6g-10g/day BP: - 100/60 It's not the salt/sodium. It's the carbs & sugars.

@DetroitC13531 @james_xond You should eat mostly at breakfast and not much, or at all, dinner. This aligns with circadian rytmh, cortisol, insulin sensitivity and improves sleep quality.

@FugazyVon @Petermainatech1 @_Gdash No there isnt any "artificial" sugar. Fruits and sugar contain sucrose, fructose and glucose in various ratio. It's the same thing. But fruits come with water and micronutrients that work in synergy. Eating table sugar with veggies is essential the same thing.

@ZeRourke @SychinLegacy @kathy82480 @BrentAWilliams2 Insulin moves glucose into cells and suppresses hunger. It doesn't make you hungry lol. It can cause hypoglycaemia if your blood sugar drops from a sudden sugar intake that just means you need to eat more. You will stop being hungry when your glycogen is replenished.

@Official_JeffH @KingVelesI It is more convenient to eat healthy. I dont like cooking. It is easy to batch prep staple food and store in the fridge for many days. Zero cognitive friction, minimal effort, just put the slop on a plate and eat.

@KingVelesI There is more to it than that. Its not convenient to eat healthy. It takes time and preparation to make your food. When people are on the go all the time that is when they eat shit. Because healthy options are not convenient. If they are they are expensive. In addition…

Poor people aren't fat because eating clean is expensive (it isn't). They're fat for the same reason for which they're poor: low impulse control and low ability to delay gratification. Also, you don't need "clean" food to lose weight; you just need to eat less of whatever you're currently eating. It takes far less food (and, therefore, money) to be fit than to be fat.

@_baklon @lyfscraft That can't be true. People used to eat more volume to fuel labor. Though maybe people nowdays eat more dense food that is harmful, versus what protect it. E.g. more of refined sugar, fat, emulsifiers, less of fiber, enzymes, phytonutrients, so the relative harm is higher.

@lyfscraft My schizo colon cancer theory is that we just consume more food total over a given time period (1 year, 10 years, 30 years whatever) than we did in the past. More food to process equals more metabolic stress on the cells of the intestine, equals more chance of mutation.

@Tala_NoExcuses @DailyVeganMeal @ketosavage Cholesterol when heated turn into oxysterols which in excess can be harmful. Though the PUFA in soy/tofu isn't great either. Eggs also high in PUFA. You want to just eat mostly sugar, as it is natively converted to cholesterol and stable SFA/MUFA adipose tissue.

@geoff_l @KenDBerryMD @grok You are missing that diabetes isn't caused by the insulin response. Insulin is a hormone to help move glucose into cells. Diabetes is caused by ectopic fat and circulation of lipids which inhibits glucose from entering cells.

There is a very popular meme out that that claims that eating too much red meat will increase your risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes. This claim prevents many from benefiting from a Keto or Carnivore diet. If you currently believe this meme then this interview will help you understand. [ link in comments ] @BenBikmanPhD

@Seashel1919 @SBakerMD Carbohydrate do not significantly contribute to fat gain unless extreme overfeeding which can ramp up DNL. Insulin can however help funnel dietary fat into adipose tissue.

@forgedmedicine @joeroganhq Not a lot. It depends on the country. Many countries feed cattle primarily on soy and corn which requires fertile land. Strictly grass fed animals would yield the average person ~2-3 grams of meat per day.

@joeroganhq This assumes cattle only eat human-edible grain. A lot of beef production uses grass, crop byproducts, and land humans can’t farm.

@markeatsmeat I noticed that sugars pair well with protein. This is because protein spikes blood sugar, but fructose does not, which balances out the insulin load perfectly. Using high starch and high protein together will spike insulin too high, potentially causing hypoglycaemia

I was buying beef today, and the lady asked me how much beef I eat. I said I eat it every day, seven days a week, and I feel amazing. She said, "Well, they say you shouldn’t eat so much beef." It’s bad for you and as I was leaving, I said, " Who are they people? you ever met who they are? You know what they look like?

Since the first $325,000 lab-grown burger in 2013, prototype lab-grown meat costs have fallen by about 99–99.9%, to around $10–20 per burger.  I've tried them, and they taste just like real meat!

500 calories of avocado are actually worse if fat loss is the goal. Dietary fat is already in storage-ready form and can be stored in adipose tissue with ~96% efficiency. Carbohydrates don’t work like that. First they’re oxidized for energy or stored as glycogen, and only when those pathways are saturated do they convert to fat via de novo lipogenesis. In humans this pathway is very inefficient : even during carbohydrate overfeeding typically only ~1–5% of carbs are converted to fat. Protein is even less likely to become body fat. It has the highest thermic effect of food, with ~20–30% of its calories lost during digestion and processing, and converting amino acids to fat is metabolically costly. So metabolically these calories are not equivalent: dietary fat is stored very efficiently, while carbs and protein are preferentially burned first. I explain this in detail in my article : berbarianwizard.substack.com/p/beyond-calor…

Stop eating brown rice instead of white to be “healthier”… You’re suffering through worse taste for no benefit. Brown rice has anti-nutrients, more heavy metals, & about the same amount of calories as white. End your misery, enjoy yourself some white rice.
