Clause 2: All persons born on US soil, including on military bases and consulates, where at least 1 biological parent is a naturalized citizen after living in the US for at least 5 years will themselves be a citizen. No other statuses qualify for citizenship by birth to their child. Section 2 The count of all US citizens as defined in section 1 only will be done on the years ending in 0 every 10 years. Any other status will not be counted for districting or any other purpose.

To receive citizenship under the Clause, a person must be both born “in the United States” and “subject to the jurisdiction thereof…” That language grants citizenship to children “completely subject” to the United States’ “political jurisdiction.” Children of temporarily present or illegal aliens do not qualify because their parents are not domiciled in, and thus do not owe the requisite allegiance to, the United States. Temporarily present aliens are by definition not domiciled here, while illegal aliens lack the legal capacity to form such a domicile.

Here’s the thing, y’all. If Democrats actually cared about disenfranchising voters in their states, they’d make voter IDs free in their states (just a citizenship marker to it). But they don’t actually care about that. They wanted to give DLs to illegals, and per the 1993 Voter Registration Act, that’s really the only documentation needed to register to vote in federal elections. The SAVE Act amends the current law to say “since illegals have DLs, we need to ensure only citizens are registering to vote.” So, not a poll tax. It’s just common sense voting control.

No, it's not. AZ, my home state, requires citizenship be proven with documentation for only local and state elections. Not federal. There are no federal standards for proving citizenship Only 10 states requires documented proof of citizenship Multiple states and municipalities allow for illegals to vote in many local elections

Today, an administrative immigration judge ordered the deportation of Rafael Rubio, a City Council employee. This is an affront to justice. A dedicated public servant with legal authorization to remain in the country, Rafael showed up for a routine immigration appointment and, despite following the rules, he was detained and has now been held for months. He should be immediately released.
