@ForWomenScot @latsot A friend recommended Beira's Place to me, as I never really had support. Mixed sex group CBT via NHS for "anxiety" wasn't helpful; the rape crisis local to me accepted -welcomed- men as service users and as staff. Now what do I tell my relatives? I'm going to the "bigot" place?

@peterjukes @JournalistJill Bio sex is an immutable material reality, not a ‘line’, or a social construct, or a non-factual ‘belief’ - & only requires stating due to attempts to undermine & sideline this reality *in order to remove sex-based rights*. When reality is your problem, your problem isn’t reality.

Whilst I understand the detriment to Beira’s Place is real, and focussing on @jk_rowling get clicks it’s a shame that mainstream press coverage of the Amnesty debacle is not also focussing on us smaller groups listed who do not have the same power or influence to defend ourselves

Without specific examples of what @rapecrisisscot @HumzaYousaf consider "abuse", then those of us who already felt betrayed are left to wonder if the sharing of our grief and pain is perceived as abusive hatred. Did you intend, sir, to instill self doubt in survivors of rape?

"“Nazi” didn’t work. “Bigot” didn’t work. “Far-right” didn’t work. So now we’re just “anti-rights.”"

🧵Back in 2023 I commenced a project to celebrate some of the women in the UK who have stood up for women's sex-based rights. I was inspired by the banners created by women's suffrage campaigners and decided to produce textile art in celebration of these women.
