Wrapped in grief, our hearts are broken for the families of Carmel Gat, Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Eden Yerushalmi, Almog Sarusi, Alex Lobanov and Ori Danino. They were stolen, held in brutal conditions and murdered, most likely in the last few days by Hamas terrorists in a tunnel beneath the southern Gaza city of Rafah. For 330 days, their families fought tirelessly for their release, holding onto hope for a reunion with their loved ones. There are now 101 hostages still in Gaza. Everyone with a voice, from individuals to nations, must urgently insist on a deal to #BringThemHomeNow.

We are moved that the #GRAMMYs recognized the victims of 10/7, including the 364 victims and 40 hostages from the Nova festival massacre — the deadliest tragedy in music history. Thank you to the recording academy and Harvey Mason Jr. for recognizing the importance of doing so and demonstrating the universality of music.

Disappointed, but not surprised, by the one-sided attack against Israel in Human Relations committee today. The City Council should demand the release of the hostages, condemn the violence and rape perpetrated against Israeli citizens, and call for the dissolution of Hamas.

The attacks by Hamas are horrific and indefensible, and my thoughts are with the families that are forever traumatized by such attacks.  Israel unquestionably has a right to defend itself from such terrorism.
