Throughout my career – both as an engineer and as a lawmaker – I have found that community has been key to driving meaningful change. I joined @SWEtalk this morning to talk to women engineers from across the country about how they can rely on their community to shape a future that is more inclusive and innovative for all.

I am pleased that my amendment to the NOAA Weather Radio Modernization Act was adopted during today’s @HouseScience markup. My amendment ensures NOAA consults with employees and their representatives during modernization, restoring their voice after recent admin actions, while strengthening the nation’s emergency alert system that keeps Americans safe.

So many families across TX-18 have lost homes, belongings, and peace of mind to severe storms. With heavy rain and flash flooding being a regular part of life in the district, every minute matters.

I continued the Pi Day celebration in Washington with Policy and Pi! I brought together @amermathsoc, @NASA, an Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellow, and @NCTM to talk about the need for making math education more equitable and accessible for all.
