Someone gave up on Bullseye.
The saddest part? Bullseye still loves people.
Despite everything he’s been through, he remains incredibly affectionate, gently nudging for more strokes and attention from anyone willing to show him kindness.
Bullseye is beginning to lose his sight and also has ongoing skin issues, but he still believes someone will love him.

The Met Office says Kenley Airfield just broke the record for the highest May overnight temperature. 🌡️
But guess when the previous record was set? 1944.
Think about it:
1944: Global CO2 was ~310 ppm.
2026: CO2 is much higher, yet we barely beat an 82-year-old record.
This isn’t a CO2 crisis... it’s the Urban Heat Island effect!
In 1944, Kenley was a rural airfield. Today, it’s surrounded by the massive concrete and asphalt sprawl of Greater London, which traps daytime heat and radiates it at night.
It’s urbanization, not global warming.

The UK just “smashed” its May temperature record… but here’s the part the Met Office conveniently leaves out: The PREVIOUS record was set in 1922. That’s 104 years ago. Long before SUVs, private jets, or modern CO₂ emissions. Heathrow Airport didn’t even exist yet. The area was literally farmland and small villages. So if a 1922 heatwave could produce nearly identical temperatures in a world with ~130 ppm less CO₂, maybe, just maybe, natural variability plays a much bigger role than the panic merchants admit.

This kind of heat would be extreme in the UK even in the middle of summer, never mind May.
Kew Gardens has provisionally hit 34.8°C today, making it the hottest May day ever recorded in the UK and smashing the previous record by around 2°C.
But apparently we’re all just “overreacting” again.

A small public service announcement for anyone going carnivore or low carb.
Your LDL might go up.
This is not because your arteries are filling with cement. This is because LDL is a fat-carrying particle, and you have just instructed your body to run on fat as its primary fuel. The body, being efficient, has manufactured more of the lorries it uses to move the cargo around. More fuel in circulation. More lorries on the road. The lorry count goes up.
The same thing happens when you fast. LDL rises. Your body is mobilising stored fat. The lorries appear to transport it.
The same thing happens when you lose weight, by any mechanism. LDL rises during the weight loss phase as fat is liberated from storage and shipped around the system.
In every one of these cases, the rising LDL is a sign that the metabolism is doing exactly what you asked it to do.
The cardiologist will see the number, panic, and reach for the prescription pad.
He has not, at any point in his training, been taught to ask why the number is up.
He has been taught that the number being up is, in itself, the problem.
It is a remarkable position. Your body is burning fat. The marker of fat being burned has gone up. This is presented as evidence that something has gone wrong.
The lorry is not the disease. The lorry is the delivery system.
Nobody panics about the existence of vans.
