🌞My husband and I walk our dog, 🐶Athena, in a nearby park each evening. We try to eat before we walk so that we can enhance our own glucose control. With spring in Boston, we are able to take walks at the golden hour and see the beautiful sunset 🌆shining its light on trees 🌳, bushes, flowers 🌺, the clouds in the sky, the water in the lake, and even brick buildings, which turn a magical shade of red. Another perk of these walks is watching animals like squirrels, 🐦birds, ducks, geese, 🐇rabbits, and even 🦝raccoons, at times. We have noticed this young raccoon in the same hole of this old tree, peeking out as if it is waiting for its mom. We have noted that its head is getting bigger with time. Nature is amazing! Spending 120 minutes a week in nature can help to improve your health. There are so many ways nature can help: the fresh air, the beauty that pulls you into the moment, the animals that grab your attention and may make you laugh, the use of your senses---smell, see, hear, and feel.
