What an irritating, delayed and sweaty end to our fantastic EV adventure - thank you @AirIndiaX IX1082 from Bagdogra to Delhi - scheduled departure 6:05pm. It’s 6:20 and APU is still not connected - this means entire cabin is warm and humid. Thankfully I had my fan handy.. - looking at another delayed flight - paid for a window seat - got a panel next to me in return. International drive in an EV? Not one but ten. Yes 10! We are pulling the impossible with ten @mahindraesuvs BEVs from the capital of India to the capital of Bhutan. That too at a blazing speed Day 1 : Delhi to Gorakhpur over 850km Day 2 : Gorakhpur to Siliguri over 650km Day 3 : Finally into Bhutan We have a mix of BE6, XEV 9e and XEV 9S models. Back to back runs and into the kingdom. How was this even possible? Massive range, super quick charging capabilities and extremely comfortable ergos. Mind you - not just adults but kids too on board. Thank you @airindia for giving passengers of AI 2910 a free tour between terminal and aircraft : back and fro! Flight was simply made to stand near runway for good 40 mins. Without air con or fresh air. Kids crying, elderly feeling the heat. This video was shot by @JulianPratap , one of the passengers. Another passenger @ShipranshuP states that no snacks or refreshments provided inspite of what is now a 3 hr delay. Really Air India?

The day was spent driving around Thimphu, capturing the proud Tata Punch EV with such backdrops. We made it. Final day of our #CurvvEV2Kaho adventure and a new India Book of Record! The Tata Curvv.ev would be creating history today - a new benchmark, a new record! The last 130km of this adventure started off on great roads. We had snow peaks for company too and the air was crisp and clean - AQI as low as 20! As we continued closer to Kaho, civilization seemed to have disappeared. The occasional house, a little village and ofcourse, Army vehicles to infuse confidence in us. To add to the adventure, we crossed streams, waterfalls and even age old wooden bridges! And then, after almost 3000km from our starting point in Gurugram, the Curvv.ev entered India’s first village, Kaho. This is where each month the first rays of sun kiss India. This is where you can witness the Chinese side by the naked eye. And ofcourse your phone catches ‘China Mobile’! No other electric vehicle had dared to come here. Till now. One step closer to our goal! Today the Curvv.ev would be entering the 6th and final state of the trip - Arunchal Pradesh. The day started off well - great roads ahead of Jorhat, less traffic and terrific views with tea estates around. After a quick juice up at the last fast charger in this part of India (Tinsukia) we were off further East not before stopping in the middle of this - a never ending tea garden. What a sight! As we got closer to our night destination, post Tezu, roads became narrower, dense vegetation cover took over and often, Curvv.ev was the only car on the road. Our night halt was at a remote little town of Hayuliang, set next to the Lohit river. Thanks to local friends, we charged the Curvv overnight via AC slow charging, all set for creating history the next day! One step closer to creating history! See our journey on the 4th day of #CurvvEV2Kaho drive. An early morning start saw us covering an impressive 624 km—made possible by improved road infrastructure and the Curvv.ev’s remarkable real-world range of over 425 km. Today also marked our entry into the fifth state of the journey, Assam, where we continued to charge the Curvv.ev seamlessly at Tata Power EZ Charge stations. The highways were excellent for most of the route, and post-Guwahati—the largest city in Assam—we caught our first glimpse of the hills. Adding to the experience, we had the pleasure of driving alongside another proud Tata.ev owner for a while—twinning on the road! The day concluded in the vibrant town of Jorhat, with an impressive efficiency of 135 wh/km on the display of the Tata Curvv EV. As we head into Day 5, we’re inching closer to our goal—and a potential new India Book of Records achievement. Quick (video) look at Day 3 of our record making drive to the Easternmost point of India in the Tata Curvv EV. Our record-making #CurvvEV2Kaho drive highlights the continuous improvements in India's road infrastructure. While we frequently encountered smooth 4-lane highways, taking detours to reach charging stations also led us through well-paved countryside roads. Even after crossing Siliguri, we had no trouble finding a Tata Power EZ Charge charger! After covering over 1700 km, the Curvv.ev's display showed an impressive 130 Wh/km, which translates to a range of 423 km on a full charge. Truly remarkable, and it debunks many myths and misconceptions. Tomorrow, we head into the fifth state of our journey. Stay tuned!
