I’m exploring the mental health effects of AI coding. This is a super quick (blazing fast), anonymous survey. Please fill out and share so that the responses will be well rounded. forms.gle/EjpPMoubFS9RX6…

@patjakubik Ridiculous. Also, what’s this price sensitivity with Plus merchants.

A Shopify Plus merchant has happily used our app for 6 months. Then they ask for a discount in exchange for a review and a feature on our website. We don't usually do discounts, but I offer one if they switch to annual. They decline - and leave a 1-star review: "The app covers our needs, but at an unnecessarily high price". Doesn't feel right that they can sabotage us like that @liam_at_shopify ?

@eliasstravik Neat. Stopped by max iterations or did it decide that it had resolved the issue at some point all by itself?

EliteCart now supports free gifts via cart transform functions! Shopify Plus merchants can use any product as a free gift without needing duplicate "phantom products". We replicated our complete gift logic into a cart transform and first merchants started using it! 🥳

Our app has a @GleapSDK powered chatbot. It's pretty good at answering questions. Why do folks that have a very simple question regularly just click "talk to a human" before even asking AI 🤖

For the last week I have been using a Claude Code subagent for translating @Shopify theme locale json files. Any time I add, remove or change a key or value, the subagent will automatically translate into German, French, Japanese, etc. 👉 Agent prompt - gist.github.com/jonathanmoore/…

Were excited about @smartlead_ai, set up everything, warmed up inboxes for weeks. Ran a simple test - turns out if a lead would reply to an email it doesn't get to our Master inbox ❌. Support has done nothing for 1+w now.

@mccrawf7 Shopify broke our tax setup (EU to UK, D2C), which has worked for years. Support has been unhelpful. Hoping I can get some help 🙏

"Gadget, build me a Shopify app that lets me create a product recommendation quiz that I can show on my store" OAuth to Shopify connects to APIs, fetches product data, and provides a UI (embedded in Shopify) to create a quiz and map answers to product recommendations— in <5 min.

@DmytroKrasun I've tried it a couple of times, but for some reason, I really like Claude 3.5 Sonnet these days. Despite the context-switching, it makes me write and copy code more consciously. For autocomplete, I use @SupermavenAI in VS Code.

Picking your next (react) library? Check State of React for a) growing usage with b) high positive sentiment and c) little negative sentiment. E.g. shadcn/ui seems to be on a good path! 2023.stateofreact.com/en-US/librarie…

@eliasstravik So true. Would you start with a (hyper)-niche and potentially pivot? Or start broad and niche down?

if the business term does not yet exist, i'd like to call this a blue lagoon. from the outside, calendar apps looks like the reddest of red oceans. thousands of alternatives, basically no differentiation. but if you pick a niche, like Saturn Calendar did with high school students, suddenly there can be a blue lagoon. turns out that high school students live in a very particular context and have very specific needs and desires. completely underserved by regular calendar apps. the Saturn team realised this, served this niche better than anyone else, and hit #1 in the app store. don't just pick a problem to solve. pick a customer to solve it for. find your blue lagoon.

Make that four. Congrats Saturn 🪐
