I won't be missing the ABC now they're on strike - in fact I would defund them. Keep the services like radio in the regions that do a good job and make the capital city bureaus a subscription only service. We also need to get serious about the fuel crisis. The government needs to declare an emergency: force supplies to the regions, stop the price gouging and cut the fuel excise.

My niece is in grade 10 in a Catholic school. This week she has her assessment in religion - topic was the church’s views on climate change !! I was shocked to hear what she told me- that it is a a moral issue rather than a political or scientific issue because it unfairly affects the poorer communities & countries etc. She even quoted genesis as ‘God created the world in his image’ not ‘created man in his image’ !!She is already brainwashed even before going to university!

@QBCCIntegrity It's been a while but, as I remember it, only a financial institution can put a lien over property. The Council has to follow the same civil rules as everyone else- Summons->Judgement->Warrant. I also worked in the Civil Magistrates Court & BCC used to file 100's of Summons a wk.

Local governments should have ZERO recourse to FORCE a sale to recover a debt that’s a fraction of the amount due.

Imagine if I moved to Japan and somehow became a Japanese MP after 40 years. Imagine I stood up in the Japanese Diet and complained that Japan wasn't Australian or Greek enough for me.
My family background is Greek, imagine I started shouting and railing in the Japanese Diet that Japan had to fight my ancient ancestral enemies the Turks and fight for enosis between Greece and Cyprus.
Everyone in Japan would think I was retarded.
