The @AmericanAir Motel 6 situation, explained:
I don't expect airlines to pay for hotels. I paid for the Grand Hyatt myself.
But the offer tells you everything about how they see you.
$4,000 ticket. Platinum status. Years of loyalty.
Their system spit out: Motel 6.
Same voucher the guy in 34B got.
That's not a policy. That's a message.
And the message is: your loyalty means nothing. Your fare means nothing. You're a seat number in a spreadsheet.
At least be honest and offer nothing.

I get it things happen with flight connections… But come on @AmericanAir this is insulting. Paid international business class fare Platinum status And your lodging offer was literally a Motel 6. Even Avianca paid for a proper hotel last time I missed my connection.

At least you got an offer!! @Delta connection DL2395 departed 5 min early on Apr 16 2026 causing many of us (a day of network delays) to miss the door closing by 2 minutes after sprinting across the airport
The offer? “Talk to a local agent” … the local agents?

In fact 10mins early up to departure time is normal.
Paperwork is closed out 10-15 before flight.
That’s why they say be the gate an hour before.

Young couple on a delayed flight tried to keep their baby girl cool after she became overheated by lightly dressing her down. She was crying a lot, and her mother was trying not to bother other passengers. While most understood the stressful situation, a flight attendant falsely claimed the baby had a fever and even asked for a birth certificate, using it as an excuse to remove the family, adding unnecessary fear and stress to an already difficult moment.
