🇯🇵 I often see endless third world resentment toward the West and feel only pity. Hiroshima & Nagasaki were destroyed by atomic bombs. We lost everything. We didn't scream about trauma or demand endless reparations. We rebuilt. Today these cities are beautiful. So, drop the victimhood. Stop blaming history. Change and build something or otherwise get used to being disliked.

Fun fact: the beach is still there and you can still go and SpaceX hosts multiple employee volunteer clean-up events every year. But wait! Your profile says you’re in Ohio, so you’re just concern trolling. Take it to bluesky where someone cares.

I grew up on Boca Chica beach. A uniquely beautiful habitat, ruined for this man’s space fantasies. These people are such bastards.

Why aren’t any of these at risk hospitals publishing their full accounting so everyone can see where they spend their money ? All but one group of hospitals that I have looked at potentially investing in, spend so much on consultants and fees that it’s no wonder they are at risk Plus, I have NEVER seen an industry that is worse than hospitals when it comes to buying medications and items like implants, screws, other devices. They overpay for everything. And then when you show them how to save money, their “supply chain” employees resist any change. They are so set in their ways, it’s a shock more don’t go out of business. Prove me wrong.

More than 400 hospitals across the U.S. are at high risk of closing or cutting services because of the Medicaid cuts in President Trump’s “big, beautiful bill,” according to an analysis from the progressive watchdog group Public Citizen. nbcnews.com/health/health-…

The corporate world built a religion around one lie. That leadership is separable from understanding. That you can run a machine you cannot read. Musk: “At SpaceX, almost all my time is spent on engineering and design.” Not strategy meetings. Not press tours. Not optics. The weeds. Musk: “If you don’t understand something at a detailed level, you cannot make a decision.” If you need someone to translate the problem, you are not the decision-maker. The translator is. You are a rubber stamp with a corner office. We built an entire economy rewarding people who speak in abstractions. Strategy. Synergy. Alignment. Physics does not care about synergy. When the rocket is on the pad, the org chart does not matter. The metallurgy does. If you do not know where the alloy fails, you are not leading. You are guessing with authority. Most executives are operating on secondhand information. Playing telephone with reality. When you delegate the understanding, you forfeit the outcome. They call it micromanagement. It is the opposite. When you understand the work, you know which failures matter and which ones are the price of moving fast. The executive who cannot read the metal panics at every setback. So he punishes it. And the moment you punish failure, your team stops reaching. They do not stop because they are lazy. They stop because they are rational. Nobody takes the shot when missing costs them everything. You do not build rockets with a workforce optimizing for job security. The further you get from the metal, the faster the company rots. The era of the spreadsheet executive is over. The future does not belong to the person with the best summary. It belongs to the one who never needed one.

Angela Merkel just ADMITTED on CAMERA she deliberately flooded Germany with third-world migrants to “stop the far right.” She chose to erase her own people rather than lose power. This wasn’t a mistake. It was demographic warfare. This is TREASON.

@BSF42069 "doesn’t like needless social and political commentary" IS the anti-woke position. Woke and anti-woke are not equally extreme positions, anti-woke represents the social norm before 2010s.

@Megaconstellati @FREESPEECH1017 @SpaceX There's no contradiction. When SpaceX did it, nobody is using the orbit so there's no complaint. Amazon is deploying directly into an orbit Starlink is already using, so of course they're entitled to complain.

SpaceX files letter of complaint against Kuiper for injecting satellites not in accordance with their agreed "Orbital Debris Mitigation" commitments. Re: Kuiper Systems, LLC, ICFS File No. SAT-MOD-20211207-00186 Dear Ms. Dortch, Amazon is continuing to violate its approved orbital debris mitigation plan and the express conditions in its license—dispensing satellites 50-90 km higher than authorized and without adequate coordination or information sharing. Amazon’s and its launch partner Arianespace’s negligence needlessly and significantly increases risk to other operational systems and inhabited spacecraft. " "Despite its repeated representations and related license conditions, Amazon launched eight times into orbits with insertion altitudes above 450 km without submitting any amended orbital debris mitigation plan or seeking Commission approval for such a change. Most recently, even with input from SpaceX, Amazon’s February 12, 2026, launch on Ariane 6 inserted its satellites at an altitude sufficiently high that it led to unmitigable collision risks with dozens of operational spacecraft. To be clear, Amazon did not update its orbital debris mitigation plan. But more importantly, Amazon did not provide sufficiently accurate ephemerides to facilitate postdeployment deconfliction for that launch, which significantly increased the risks to all satellite operations near the 480 km insertion altitude as well as to inhabited spacecraft. Amazon’s lack of deconfliction forced Starlink satellites alone to perform 30 collision avoidance maneuvers within hours immediately following the Ariane launch to avoid the newly deployed satellites. Even in the presence of these maneuvers, the risk from this insertion is estimated to considerably exceed the Commission’s semi-annual reporting threshold of 1 × 10⁻⁵ for unmitigated conjunctions. Amazon and Ariane unilaterally increased the insertion altitudes for the February 12, 2026, launch with full knowledge that thousands of satellites are already operating at those altitudes and that the Commission approved more to be lowered to those shells to decrease risk. Nonetheless, Amazon and Ariane still chose these high-risk insertion altitudes, which significantly increases collision risks due to known large launch trajectory uncertainties, and in this case ineffective launch collision avoidance screening by Ariane."

@JamesMuncy "at least TWO competing approaches": Yeah, that's the problem, NASA couldn't afford two CLD providers. If CLD providers come back and say: "We're fine with $125M/year for each provider for development" then NASA can go ahead and award two contracts. But will they?

(3) step up and help the CLDs create better 2nd generation space stations to replace ISS...at least TWO competing approaches, so (4) entrepreneurs can ignite the orbital economy, and create wealth for taxpayers, employees, and investors. A PERFECT leap forward!!! 13/13

@CSI_Starbase Are you freaking kidding me? There's no evidence that US/Israel is deliberately targeting civilians. In the mean time Iran *is* deliberately targeting civilians, including hotels and other civilian infrastructure. You should be asking this question against the Iranian government.

Here’s some important food for thought for every human being on this planet. Is it moral to collectively punish an entire civilian population for decisions made by a ruling class that represents less than 0.5 % of their country? The answer matters. Because the precedent we set today becomes the rules of engagement tomorrow. We are actively rewriting the script that could one day be used against our own families, our own cities, our own children. In other words: would dropping 2,000 lb bombs in the middle of New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Berlin, Tokyo, Seoul, Sydney, Moscow, Beijing, Tehran, Damascus, Cairo, or any other city on Earth be an acceptable way to force a government to capitulate? The question isn’t about any one conflict. It’s about the standard we are willing to live and die by when the tables inevitably turn.
Trita Parsi@tparsi

A resident in Tehran films the US and Israel bomb densely populated neighborhoods in Tehran. These are clearly massive munitions with little to no regard for civilian casualties. Indeed, the entire neighborhood is engulfed in fire and smoke. Just as Israel did in Gaza.

The Rational Animal 🤔
The Rational Animal 🤔@theobjectivist·
This perfectly captures the parasite's delusion: that wealth is static loot to be seized and redistributed. Here's what actually happens when you "repossess all their stuff": The producers will rebuild. They'll create new wealth because that's what they do. They identify opportunities, solve problems, innovate, build businesses, and generate value. Their wealth came from their minds, not magic. The looters will consume what they stole at light speed and wind up with nothing. Because they never learned to produce. They only know how to take. Look at every socialist revolution in history: seize the factories, the farms, the businesses. Within years, everything collapses. The factories stop producing. The farms stop yielding. The wealth evaporates. Venezuela. Cuba. Soviet Union. Zimbabwe. The pattern is identical. Why? Because wealth isn't stuff sitting in a vault. Wealth is the ongoing process of human intelligence applied to production. Confiscate a factory and you get the building. You don't get the knowledge, vision, and competence that made it productive. The "rich" you want to loot aren't dragons hoarding gold. They're producers creating value. Rob them and you rob everyone, including yourself. You'll be left with ruins and still blame capitalism.
