@CNN Oh no, another inferior court judge made an anti-trump ruling. It will be appealed. And then it will overturned by either the appellate or the Supreme Court as an unconstitutional overreach. These activist judges do nothing but tarnish the reputation of the courts.

The section you cite describes the requirements for photo ids used for “absentee voting” - they must show citizenship or you need additional doc. No such requirements exist for “in-person voting”; Real IDs are sufficient for that.

However, there are documented cases of them voting in the past, so the one guilty of magical thinking would be the one claiming they don't. And I happen to believe in the 2nd amendment. The SAVE Act is one of the most extreme voter suppression bills in recent history. It is intended to undermine our elections using tactics that are straight out of an authoritarian playbook.

This is getting lost in the conversation. We already have laws on the books that penalize non citizens for voting with harsh penalties. It is exceedingly rare for this to happen, but when it does, violators are held accountable. So if this is already on the books, what is the SAVE America Act really about? It's all a pretext to stop AMERICANS from voting. Specifically, Americans who dare to disagree with the President and Republicans in Washington DC.
