Here we are, about 24 hours later. Despite phone DMs and phone conversations, literally zero progress has happened. We’re well past the 72 hour mark, and are still in the “We’re working on the issue” phase. Not good, @ATTHelp ; not good.

@ATT Can we get a little help? Fiber internet outage at 54 hours and counting! I can’t get any straight answers as to what’s the problem or when it’ll be back. I’ve seen 0 trucks out working on this. Help, please!

@BleacherNation Is this ever a spot where Cubs could get the best of both worlds if they are similar hitters today? Start the year with Moises at DH, Long at AAA. Every 2-4 weeks, swap them; send Moises down with plan being he plays C while there. Just shuttle them back and forth.

@HotStoveCubbies I’ve always thought there’s a version of 6-man that is ideal. 5 starters and 1 floater. 1st: 1,2,3,4,5. 2nd: 6,2,3,4,5. 3rd: 1,6,3,4,5. 4th: 1,2,6,4,5. Etc. This way, every 6 weeks, each starter gets a nearly 2 week break. Besides that, they work on a normal routine.

The Cubs should do a 6 man rotation once Steele is ready to come back. Limit innings & I feel would be a huge benefit to this team.

@Brett_A_Taylor @TheBlogfines I understand that they don’t want to go over in consecutive years, but this is the year to go over. Extra revenue from playoff run, plus a TON of money falls off books after ‘26, so they can fall back below in ‘27.

Let me just say that if the Cubs traded Nico Hoerner for a bottom-of-the-rotation starter, I would SHIT EVERYWHERE.
