McCarthy tells lots of lies and twists the truth. Here’s another example of him twisting things: “It was the Trump Justice Department — Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, appointed by President Trump — who made Mueller special counsel. He was not sicced on Trump by Democrats.” Rosenstein is a swamp rat and a Trump hater. McCarthy completely ignores that. Rosenstein knew before Meuller did that the who thing was a hoax, and he just let it go on. Rosenstein then leaves the FBI and gets a big time job at a Democrat law firm. McCarthy’s self righteousness makes me want to vomit.

@AndrewCMcCarthy Trump has a right to be bitter at a man who knew that he was baselessly trying to destroy his life and the his family. You could write a book about the awful things Robert Mueller did in his life. And besides, you’re just a Trump hater.

@paulg You might feel differently if Mueller, without basis, went after you and your family like he went after Trump’s. It was more than a hoax. It was an attempted coup.

Whether the next president is a Republican or a Democrat, can we have someone with at least a little class next time? Because this is embarrassing.

...Ann and his whole family deserve the thanks of a nation for his (and their) sacrifice through the years. From his decorated service in Vietnam to his many high-ranking positions in our government, Robert Mueller always stepped forward when his nation needed him. Rest in peace, Robert.

The passing of Robert Mueller marks the end of a life of public service to his country, a career of great distinction and patriotism. While I did not always agree with Mueller, he stood the watch when this nation was attacked on 9-11 and answered every call from this nation...

@MalcolmNance Why would Iran ever blow up Kharg Island? It would be economic and political suicide. That’s not happening.

EVERYONE REPEAT AFTER ME You CANNOT get to Kharg Island with Marines until you successfully transit the Strait of Hormuz ... which the IRGC will make a living hell with sea mines, suicide boat drones, missiles and aerial drones Once past the SOH its a 20-24 hour dash (380nm) to Kharg along a coast that may be firing off antiship missiles, ballistic hypersonic missiles, cruise missiles small boats and suicide drones of all sorts, aerial, surface and subsurface. Then they can just blow up the islands refineries when you arrive so you have to live in a town of 8,000 who hate you in a cloud of poisonous smoke/gas
The Angry Gunner@TheAngry53586

Repeat after me:- To get amphibious ships to Kharg, you need to clear the SOH and AFTER, hundreds of miles of coastline first. It’s like some accounts don’t know the geography of the PG.

Today, an administrative immigration judge ordered the deportation of Rafael Rubio, a City Council employee. This is an affront to justice. A dedicated public servant with legal authorization to remain in the country, Rafael showed up for a routine immigration appointment and, despite following the rules, he was detained and has now been held for months. He should be immediately released.

I’m not trying to be argumentative. I’m just saying that the Iranian’s can’t move the hole in the ground that the missile comes out of. Unlike the mobile launchers. The whole in the mountain can’t move. You don’t blow up the bunker 500m down. You blow up the hole on the surface so it can’t be used again.

🇮🇷There are clear indications that Iran is doing something not seen before in modern warfare rules, namely underground military bases located in each of the 31 provinces, which are as deep as 500+ meters underground. These bases do not have clearly visible launch ramps, so it is not possible to detect from where a missile was launched except from the immediate vicinity. In this case, it is also impossible to predict the exact impact location of the missile because the launch site is more or less unknown. The USA claims to have destroyed all of Iran's missile capabilities. Meanwhile, during yesterday, Iran launched 7 missile barrages, each with several dozen and possibly up to a hundred missiles during just one of them.

Republicans are lying to the American people when they say the SAVE Act is a voter ID law—it’s a proof-of-citizenship requirement that would make voting harder, if not impossible, for a lot of people. Passports are expensive, documents don’t always match, and the process can be a mess (been there). We should be making voting easier, not adding more hurdles. Democrats can own this by proposing their own bill that accepts a range of IDs, and includes automatic voter registration and Election Day as a national holiday for starters.

This is absurd! Launches light up like a Christmas tree on infrared satellites the second they fire. Depth doesn't hide the plume. Fixed hatches get located, then bunker-busters turn your 'unkillable' missile city into a very killable parking garage. Iran's barrages are down hard because every pop-up gets hunted. Think before you post (unless you’re dumb or corrupt)

IRAN JUST BROKE EVERY RULE OF MODERN WARFARE 🇮🇷 They built 500-meter-deep underground missile cities. In ALL 31 provinces. No launch pad visible. No pre-strike warning possible. Missile exits the tunnel. Fires. Goes back underground. INVISIBLE. UNKILLABLE. UNSTOPPABLE. The US claims to have destroyed Iran's missile capacity. Iran launched 7 missile barrages in 24 hours yesterday. That's a weapon the world has never seen before. GAME OVER.

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.

McCaffrey “confirms”? This is the same guy that predicted a “military disaster” for the U.S. when it invaded Iraq in 2003. He predicted that the Taliban would have an “impressive comeback” against American forces in Afghanistan. And now he’s paid by MSNOW to spew bad things about Trump. Both you and McCaffrey have no credibility.

Absolute bombshell. General McCaffrey says invading Iran is an option no one in their right mind would consider. He confirms Iran's nuclear program remains completely untouched and Washington is now trapped in a war it cannot win.

If Trump had directed all the arms he has wasted on Iran to Ukraine instead, Ukraine could have defeated Russia by now & Trump would have avoided giving Iran control over the Strait of Hormuz. Is Trump treasonous, stupid or just senile?

@TawhakiTheGod Or maybe Trump and the military guys have thought this through. They could just blow up the Jack Oil terminal (or the ports). This may end badly for the U.S. but it ends far worse for the Iranian government and military.

The Kharg island experts are all strangely ignorant of Iran's Jask Oil terminal in the gulf of Oman. It is part of a diversification strategy due to the strategic risk to Kharg and loaded its first tanker in 2024. It is effectively mothballed but can handle up to 50% of the output of Kharg - 1.5m bpd vs 3.0m bpd. Enough to maintain oil supply levels to China, and at current prices that would be more total revenue than pre war. Trump's gamble that Iran wouldn't blow the shit out of 2500 marines occupying Kharg is going to end badly. They will.

It’s anyone’s guess what’s really happening, but my sense is that what’s left of the Iranian regime has realized that if U.S. troops secure Kharg Island, it’s game over. And since they’re no longer able to defend it, they’re likely trying to wind the war down as quickly as possible, hoping to avoid Trump seizing the island so they can live to fight another day.
