I saw Greer speak in London in about 2000, the whole talk she was heckled and shouted down by crossdressing men. She's such an OG 'Terf' she was getting death threats *in the post*. She's absolutely right, and we owe her more gratitude than she gets.

The Caroline Elliott campaign website has no email at all anymore. Just a phone number that says, "You've reached the campaign and no one is available at the moment." Something has clearly gone awry here.

@CBA_News 1. Let's be clear 1st about who the Canadian Bar Ass'n is. It is a voluntary assemblage of lawyers, & in recent times has been very hospitable to left-wing activist lawyers. It has no functional role in the legal system. If CBA disappears tomorrow, the effect w/b zero or net +ve.

A Canadian woman stands her ground against a man pretending to be a woman in the women’s bathroom. W: “You’re a guy, right?” M: “I’m not a man. I’d appreciate it if you kept that opinion to yourself.” W: “It’s not an opinion. It’s a fact.” M: “You’re the first person who’s ever done this.” W: “Because I’m the only one who has the balls to do it.”

Is this the Mandela effect? This isn’t how I remember her. At all. I watched this video not realizing the woman speaking is Courtney Love.

@KatWild @JebraFaushay She was 21 at the time, her character's name was Gretchen but people barely remember her. That's how underwhelming the character was.

Wonder why Melanie Joly didn't want to take a common folk BC Ferry from Vancouver to Victoria?? Instead she decided to fly. Any guesses?

Caroline Elliot’s team says she backed out of the Independent/Juno News debate because: They were unaware that MLA Peter Milobar, 1 of 5 of her opponents, never agreed to participate, and only wanted to do so if all candidates agreed. Now they’d rather focus on signing up more members before sign up closes on the 18th. They say they’re open to new dates after membership/prospective voter deadlines close. Was this a reasonable decision in your view?

@ShellyUrquhart I agree, it’s so tiresome. Also, it’s a red flag that these individuals aren’t critical thinkers in general. For fun, I like too enthusiastically proclaim, things would’ve been so much better if Harris won! They usually shut up or get mad and say they think I’m a goof. 😂

Since Monday (in particular, but for months and months…) , and I talk to LOTS of people every day… I have noticed that there are people who, when you small talk to them about ANYthing, they somehow bring ‘Trump’ into the conversation. What in the actual fucking hell is wrong with people? Didn’t sleep well. “Trump.” Have massive farts. “Trump.” Cost of rent. “Trump.” Housing shortage, “Trump.” What is wrong with people?

🟢 IMPORTANT UPDATE ON THE JUNO DEBATE: Caroline Elliott initially committed to attend the only BC Conservative leadership debate taking place before the membership cutoff. This is the moment members will decide who becomes the next Premier of British Columbia. It is a big deal. Then things took a turn. After agreeing to the date, format, and venue, Elliott’s campaign went ahead and bought out nearly every ticket to the venue. General admission was $50, VIP was $100. They cleared it out. Deep pockets. Impressive, I guess. We weren’t going to let one campaign control the audience, so we moved the debate to a larger venue. Every campaign deserves a fair crowd. No issue there. At that point, Elliott backed out, and announced a mix & mingle event on the other side of the province. This isn’t simply a matter of avoiding other candidates like Yuri Fulmer, Iain Black, Kerry-Lynne Findlay, Warren Hamm, or Peter Milobar. Campaigns make strategic decisions all the time. This is about attempting to control access to voters, lighting a pile of cash on fire, then walking away when that failed. We’re proceeding with the debate. Elliott is welcome to reconsider. She will be treated fairly and given the same opportunity as everyone else. But right now, voters are left with a simple question: Why try to block people from attending a debate? If I were a donor, I’d want an answer to that. And if this is how a campaign handles a debate, it raises bigger questions about how they would handle power Every other candidate will be given a powerful, national platform to showcase their talent and ideas. Elliott is welcome to change her mind, again, and show up for the people that matter: people like you. The Juno News audience is the largest in the nation, and are the only stakeholders in this whole leadership race that I actually care about. Our readers deserve to hear from the people that want to lead Canada's west coast out of years of NDP destruction. I am excited, the cast of talent in this race is impressive, and I hope to see you there. JunoDebate.com.

@Gynchy @preta_6 Of course! If teachers were forcing kids at the ballot boxes to vote a certain way or if they were showing porn in their classroom I would be appalled. But that’s not happening.
