@TerminalBRD NIJ Listed Model is the official NIJ stamp you put on the back of an NIJ Compliant product. The NIJ Tested logo is a knockoff meant to trick you into thinking it's "certified" at a glance if you don't look hard enough at the fine print.

Generally, I'm not fond of dealer stickers, but I kept the ones on the only new car I ever purchased because I was actually very happy with the dealer. Their quoted out the door price was less than anyone else's pre-tax price (and nobody was willing to match) and I didn't get jerked around even once... when I picked up the car I noticed that it had a pinstripe on it that I didn't want and they removed it no-charge and with no fuss. I was happy to give them a little free advertising because I was going to recommend them to anyone who asked anyways.

I had the dealer put a bed liner in before I picked up my F450… they tried to tell me I couldn’t remove the badges or I’d lose my warranty. I laughed, and told them to remove them, or I wasn’t picking the custom truck order up. They removed them.

You haven't the slightest idea what probable cause means. It's worth noting that the offender was also shot by another officer in the parking lot who believed him to be armed. The guy didn't drop the gun, he didn't surrender, he retained the weapon and fled to an area where other individuals were present.

Security footage was released today after it was announced that the two Gastonia police officers who shot and killed a man at a convenience store in January won’t face any criminal charges. Before getting into the details, as someone who has spent a lot of time in Gastonia, NC, this is the most "Gastonia" gas station conversation I've ever heard (audio up) 😎 -very good body positioning by the cop to conceal his 4 o'clock draw and a solid draw and first shot on target time 🤌🏽 -the cop took at least two shots on the threat while the threat was at a 90 degree angle; good example of why the 12-18'' penetration standard is the standard. Also, at that angle the standard "torso" target get's a whole lot thinner and the accuracy demanded increases -after the man in red was shot and killed saving taxpayers millions of dollars, it was discovered that the "gun" he pulled was a replica and not real Train accordingly... #CityLife #IQtest #police #charlotte #dumb #gastonia #FAFO #ballistics #accuracy #ConcealedCarry #crime #QC #urban

Your opinion is garbage. Someone wielding what appears to be a firearm and threatening to use it creates facts and circumstances which would lead a reasonable officer to believe deadly force was necessary to apprehend the suspect. You’re imputing subjective motivations without any evidence and in direct opposition to objective facts and supporting case law.

Your opinion is straight up wrong. Tennessee v. Garner and Graham v. Connor are the SCOTUS cases addressing police use of force. Most people think of Garner as prohibiting police from using lethal force on fleeing felons, but that’s not entirely true. If police have *probable cause* to believe that permitting the individual to escape would create an imminent threat of death or bodily harm to the officer or another, the officer may use lethal force to apprehend the suspect. It’s also worth noting that according to case law, probable cause is a lower standard than “preponderance of the evidence,” so it’s LESS than 50% likelihood. Under the facts presented here, PC was clearly established based on the information available to the officer at the time of the use of force.

Of my weaponlights, the Cloud Defensive EPL (1,200 lumen/52,000 candela) is my favorite, followed by my X300T. I just wish that I could get something like the EPL in a package as small as my TLR-7As and -7subs for my duty and carry guns - and that my agency would permit us to remove the TLR-7 and replace with a more effective light.

I do not understand why someone would want 66,000 candela on a pistol mounted weaponlight (X300T). It seems like the regular upgraded X300u with more lumens and 11,000 candela would be way more practical for civilian use.

@ShneakySquirrel @anymanfitness You also have to consider that the average army recruit is also significantly younger than the "average man" from the population at large. The younger cohort is likely to have a higher average count, but when you're adding in the 40+ crowd, that number is going way down.

@anymanfitness Average guy? About 20. That's their maximum. I come up with that number from my experience in the Army, where they take the average guy and form them into a soldier. In the beginning, most men can do about 20, with the minimum standard being 42. I watched most of them do 20.

How many push-ups (all the way down and up, zero cheating) do you think the average guy can do? Not gym rat. AVERAGE guy. If I had to guess, I would set the over/under at 8.5. Maybe lower.

Ask…and you shall receive! Here are the EXACT ingredients and preparation instructions I use to make my DELICIOUS Quadruple Cheese Burgers for less than 750 calories: Ingredients - 1 pound of 96/4 Ground Beef (See Pics) - 4 Fat-free cheese slices (See Pics) - 1 Low-calorie bun (See Pics) - Salt & pepper to taste - Small drizzle of oil (for the pan) Equipment Needed - 15” Large cast-iron skillet - Burger smasher or heavy spatula - Parchment square for clean smashing Instructions 1) Preheat your cast-iron skillet over high heat for 3–5 minutes — you want it hot 2) Add a small drizzle of oil and spread it evenly 3) Divide the beef into 4 oz balls (do NOT pack them tightly) 4) Place one beef ball on the skillet — it should sizzle on contact 5) Immediately smash HARD using your burger press or spatula (again, using parchment paper to prevent sticking is probably a good idea) 6) Season with salt and pepper. 7) Let it cook 2 minutes or until the edges are brown and crispy 8) Flip carefully and top with a slice of fat-free cheese. 9) Cook another 30–45 seconds, just until the cheese melts. 10) Stack multiple patties 11) Toast your buns lightly in the same pan for extra flavor (optional) 12) Assemble your burger — add toppings if you want (onion, lettuce, pickles, ketchup, smash burger sauce, etc.) 13) Give the burger a few minutes to cool off before biting into it or you will burn yourself — the inside will be HOT ENJOY

@jjreeves @McDonalds If it's been touched by mayo, it goes in the garbage. Scraping it off is wholly insufficient to remove the contagion.

I have not BoC posted on a while. I was really excited about the German @McDonalds big morning chicken. The name is whimsical and you're looking at a whole grain roll, lettuce, tomato, and a slice of cheese on top of, essentially, a big chicken nugget. Sounds virtually perfect. Unfortunately, the cake frosting-like sheets of mayonnaise spread on both sides of the roll made it actually inedible without removing it. And as my fellow mayo scrapers know, as goes the mayo, so goes the lettuce. Sad, because we were looking at a potential 10 out of 10 breakfast with a green SF monster and a view of Cologne. Great design, poor execution. 5.5/10

Aside from p320 jokes, a little amusing to me secret service is rocking a totally stock p320 m18. No optic, no light, basic trigger, stock grip. Mine is way more decked out than that, other than having gimped ten round mags and the CA required "features" of MDM and CLI.

I suspect that the Virginia Supreme Court will uphold the law. Unfortunately, judges in Virginia are appointed and confirmed by the General Assembly. They also do not have lifetime appointments, so to remain in their seats the General Assembly has to reappoint them. If they throw this out on procedural grounds, they're likely out of a job.

The "yes" vote has won Va's redistricting referendum — but the legal fight is just beginning. Four Va Constitutional challenges are now teed up: THREE challenges to the amendment process itself: 1️⃣ First passage was invalid. The amendment was taken up during a special session convened in 2024 for budget purposes. The General Assembly's own call to the Governor (under Art. IV, §6 and Art. V, §5) and its governing resolution (HJR 6001) limited the session's scope. Expanding it to include a constitutional amendment on redistricting required a two-thirds vote that never occurred. A Tazewell County judge found this action "void, ab initio." 2️⃣ Art. XII, §1 requires that after first passage, a proposed amendment be "referred to the General Assembly at its first regular session held after the next general election of members of the House of Delegates." An election must intervene between first and second passage. Here, first passage occurred during an election cycle — not before an intervening one. 3️⃣ Art. XII, §1 requires the amendment be submitted to voters "not sooner than ninety days after final passage by the General Assembly." The timeline from second passage to the April 21 vote did not satisfy this requirement. Plus ONE challenge to the proposed maps: 4️⃣ Art. II, §6 requires that "every electoral district shall be composed of contiguous and compact territory." The proposed congressional maps violate this contiguity requirement (rather badly). Next stop, court. Stay tuned.

The jury doesn't see the indictment, so no, the Defense isn't going to bring up "holes" in the indictment. The Defense can absolutely bring up "holes" in the evidence that the prosecution actually presents during their case in chief, but holes in the indictment don't matter if the evidence shown at trial fills those holes. The only evidence that is presented to obtain an indictment is evidence sufficient to establish probable cause to believe that a crime has been committed and that the defendant committed it. Probable Cause, according to the Supreme Court, is a standard below preponderance of the evidence (51% certainty), so it's an incredibly low hurdle to clear and in no way is supposed to reflect the totality of the prosecution's case.

Here is how important the indictment is …. The trial jury never sees it. It is not part of the evidence - it is only an accusation - and the jury does not get to see it during deliberations. So where do the “holes” in the indictment ever manifest themselves? Cases turn on trial evidence and that’s never fully known until revealed at trial.
Viva Frei@thevivafrei

The indictment "can have all kinds of "holes" -Shipwreck We agree. "-- they don't matter." -also @shipwreckshow We shall see. A former federal prosecutor saying it doesn't matter how many "holes" there are in the prosecution of the biggest case in modern American politics... Not a good strategy. Time will tell who was right here. Bookmark.
