A head tilt at the exact moment saved President Trump’s life A few centimeters off and he might have been hit. He was saved by God. God was watching over him.

I’ll just add that, while the past ten years are the warmest ten years on record (the chances of this occurring in a stable climate are infinitesimal), it’s been over *100* years since Earth has had a coldest year on record.
Ben Noll@BenNollWeather

So far this year, 0.0001 percent of the planet has experienced record low temperatures. That compares with record warmth for 7.1 percent of the globe. Temperatures in 2026 compared to 1940-2025 average: Well below: 0.8% Below: 2.4% Average: 6.6% Above: 17.1% Well above: 73.1%

The problem with non-scientists playing scientist: they don't know which number to look at. A state's all-time high is ONE day at ONE station and you can never un-set it, so of course old ones linger. Climate is the trend. And daily record highs are beating record lows ~2:1 this century (Meehl et al., NCAR). In a stable climate it's 1:1.
Lucy Biggers@LLBiggers

@ChrisMartzWX 🌡️ 38 (76% of) U.S. states set their “all-time” high temperature records before 1955. 📷 46 (92% of) U.S. states set their “all-time” high temperature records at least 30 years ago.

@RoyPentland @DerGraslutscher @Joerg25257102 @bootcanyon @GrossWeather So, one paper, in a fringe journal, where some scientists mess about with gases in a metal cylinder, overturns decades of understanding of atmospheric physics? OK Roy, you must be right!🤪 No doubt those guys will be collecting their Nobel Prize very soon!!

@RoyPentland Ah, you found another article on Facebook that confirms your prejudice, and flies in the face of scientific understanding. This will convince nobody who has critical thinking skills, I'm afraid
