After all the complaining this series, one of the biggest plays that ended the Lakers’ season was a blatant Chet travel the refs saw and still didn’t call.

They tanked for two years. It got them Chet Holmgren and Alex Caruso. Even if you wiped the Chet/Giddey picks away, they have such a draft surplus that they pretty easily could've just traded for Caruso and a different star center. The tanking narrative for them is so overblown.

Most clips of the okc defense "fouling" are in those vall pressure moments, not shooting

The part of this discussion that I think people miss is that OKC has been trained to walk the razor’s edge of the rule book. Folks are getting mad at the refs and it’s really more about hacking (no pun) the rule book. Shai technically isn’t violating a rule.

Exactly. It matters amount of FT’s shot but it matters just as much as killing the flow, getting guys in foul trouble, making it so defense can’t even get close to offense afraid to get another foul. Then you have Burke saying “that’s just too easy” yeah no shit cuz refs created an atmosphere if they breath wrong they will get fouled out when missing key players already.

OKC fans only looking at free throws attempted numbers to support their side of this annoying debate is understandable from their own perspective, but it misses the point that these games actually suck to watch and are annoying. It's not really about FTAs.
