Great debunking Anna Kasparian's deranged conspiracies straight to her face. She's now blocked me on X. Thomas Massie took money from billionaires, Iranians, and PACs while implying Trump was a pedophile. As usual, she had no response other than to yell, interrupt, and insult.

Only 24% of Jewish voters hold a favorable view of Donald Trump. A majority of Jewish voters believe Trump is antisemitic. The newest poll of Jewish voters is clear: We reject Donald Trump’s extremism, and we can and will make the difference for Democrats in the midterms. haaretz.com/us-news/2026-0…

@EYakoby Israel is always in the room with us. They never leave us alone. And if you're a government official, they are very likely literally in the room with you. They have Israeli assets and listening devices everywhere. That's how they stole our nuclear secrets, triggers and uranium.

Congrats to Israel, they killed another peace deal. We were at 95% done. After Puppet Trump talked to Netanyahu, he came out with new completely unrealistic demands: 1. Israel doesn't have to abide by the peace deal and can keep attacking Lebanon. So, only a ceasefire for one side. 2. We have to take out all the enriched uranium on day one, not in the second stage. 3. All Middle Eastern countries have to betray the Palestinians and sign Abraham Accords to normalize relations with Israel without ending the occupation. These are purposely impossible, so that the war continues. And Israel is bombing Lebanon heavily now to try to reignite the war. They are not our allies, Israel is a terrorist government which has captured our government and media. They're using it to drive permanent war that Americans are forced to pay for.

@BrianManzo20 @skaushik100 Respectfully beg to differ. Spent some time near North Park Blocks recently and it was fucking disgusting. Didn't even want to walk the dog there. Shit, needles. garbage, etc. It is cleaned overnight, then the addicts arrive, take a bench, and the circle of trash widens.

@skaushik100 I visit Portland a couple of times per month, and for all the bad press it receives, and much of it rightly so, I truly believe it is in better shape than Seattle currently is. One small example, their parks are clean & beautiful, not filled with used needles and homeless tents.

No one has written more evocatively and insightfully about what went wrong with Portland, OR than Nancy Rommelmann. She's charted the city's transformation from a pretty but poor and provincial Tonya Harding town of NW metalheads and rednecks to the fun and self-consciously off-beat bougie emo twee city of the Portlandia era, and then to a city defined by an increasingly militant and oppressively conformist form of cultural progressivism that exploded into the destructive - and deeply self-destructive - protests of 2020. So @hyded and I asked @NancyRomm to join us on the latest BCB (link to follow) to talk about how and why Portland traumatized itself, what the hell the 2020 protests were really about, what the city's experience says about the devolution of cultural progressivism in the 2010s, and also, more recently, about the false narratives the Trumpist right has tried to impose onto the city over the ICE protests. I don't think there's any city in America that has had such a sharp up then down trajectory as Portland (where I lived during my college years back in the '80s), and I thought this was a really fun and insightful conversation.

The RVs parked for miles in Abilene, Texas seem to never end I shared earlier footage of this, but this shows they are expanding and building 2,300 more spaces They are used for temporary housing for thousands of construction workers building massive AI data centers The city has approved large-scale RV parks specifically for data center workers, including a nearly 1,000-space park on Elmdale Road and plans for up to 2,300+ spaces total across new developments Abilene is in the middle of a huge AI data center boom, projects include OpenAI, Oracle, Crusoe, Microsoft, and more. These are multibillion dollar campuses, some valued at more than $26 billion+ The power needs for these data centers in this area will exceed 1 million average homes They’ll use about 8 million gallons of water Each major project can have as many as 6,000 workers on site each day

@DavidSamuelMay You say in the 1st para there is plenty of room to criticize IDF’s war against Hamas, but in the 3rd you imply they did a good job under the circumstances. Don’t waffle. Israel has done a great job against Hamas, and I really don’t care that their supporters are living in tents.

Comments like this prove my point. The narrative is distorted from reality to cast Israel as a cosmic evil. Wars are violent, and that is why we should avoid them whenever possible. And there is plenty of room to criticize how Israel prosecuted the war against Hamas. But there is a vast difference between Israel killing civilians in a campaign to defeat a genocidal enemy and the accusation that Israel is massacring civilians in a genocide. For many, however, Israel's guilt is a foregone conclusion, and anyone pushing back is a genocide denier. I'll repeat: Hamas's figure of around 70k Gaza deaths INCLUDES Hamas fighters. We don't have exact numbers of killed fighters, but they are in the tens of thousands. So, in dense urban fighting, Israel achieved a remarkably low civilian-to-combatant casualty rate. Israel achieved this through advance warning, calling off strikes, and facilitating the entry of humanitarian aid even when Hamas stole it, and despite the many measures Hamas took to increase civilian casualties (building tunnels underneath civilian areas, using civilian areas as command centers, not allowing civilians to flee combat zones, etc.). But many will skip past 10/7, the brutal fighting, and the human shields and claim that based on the death and destruction, the Gaza war was a genocide. There are two general camps of people who make this claim. 1. The people who actively support the resistance and see the value in advancing the claim that Israel is committing genocide. 2. The well-intentioned people who are duped by the pictures and the sad stories. The first group is beyond reach, but the second group should be reachable. Anyone given a cartoonish story of good and evil would support the side presented as innocent victims. But this camp should understand that their well-intentioned support for a people that is suffering tremendously (the Palestinians) is energizing antisemitism. Jews are being scapegoated as genocide supporters, thereby justifying attacks on them even though Israel is fighting a war against genocidal enemies. There are real consequences for the false genocide claim, but I doubt the well-intentioned people claiming that Gaza is a genocide will have the introspection to realize the damage they are causing.
Leonidas29@CheriC69965

@DavidSamuelMay 70 thousand civilians, including children, which i believe is over 20 thousand. Its still a genocide and we dont like it.
