@suyuri @signulll Most men have activities and make friends that way. Most women's hobbies are their man or their "hobbies" are normal activities (shopping, eating). This makes it hard for them to find friends.

apparently one of the highest revenue yc companies is a match making app doing like a ~$1m a month in revenue & it’s not a dating app. it uses ai to match women for friendship with other women due to loneliness which is very fascinating because bumble needed to lean into this hardcore but obviously failed in all facets of business for the past like ~6 years. kinda ironic since the zeitgeist narrative from the mainstream is always about men’s loneliness.

@peteoxenham Honestly this thing should always just be stuck in cheap mode. Unless you're at an AI company right now, cheap is always going to be one of the pushes.

@ppjose357 @rushicrypto But at a sit down restaurant you have to be sitting down in air conditioning. You don't get to stand in the blazing sun for 30 minutes to order.

@rushicrypto Yeah, they’re more expensive than a restaurant, worse quality, smaller portions, and still expect a 20% tip. And you get to eat your food while sitting on a curb.

A know a couple of YouTuber's who use my noclip360.com gaming news site. They say it helps them stay on top of gaming news, and none of it goes to support gaming journalists or ads. It's done with Grok in the style of PC Accelerator of old.

Are you OK with me using AI for the following things for my Filter/FilterBlade work? - Fix performance issues/vulnerabilities - Writing 'technical' code like Unit Tests (only used to increase the quality) - Reviewing existing code to look for quality improvements

If you're using my Filters or FilterBlade I need to hear your input. Lets talk about AI boundaries. So far I have avoided AI-usage in the project. I have a lot of PoE-specific-knowledge, programming and computer-linguistics skills and replacing them with AI is: - Major downgrade. - Breaking the trust of the community - No fun, I like filter-tinkering. Further: I do NOT intend to work on the actual filter and algorithmic core of my Filter project with AI. However, I would like to get to hear the community input on using AI in a LIMITED scope in order to: - Fix performance issues/vulnerabilities - Writing 'technical' code like Unit Tests (only used to increase the quality) - Reviewing existing code to look for quality improvements I've been using AI in my fulltime job and other projects and I think it would provide a benefit. I'd like to hear the community input. Do you actually care? Would you be OK with the plan above?

Germany is gearing up for war... Young men are no longer allowed to leave Germany without permission. Since January 1, 2026, all men between the ages of 17 and 45 must obtain permission if they intend to leave Germany for more than three months – regardless of whether it's for a semester abroad, a job, or an extended trip. This requirement now applies permanently and is no longer limited to situations of tension or defense, i.e., a concrete military threat. The change came into effect as part of the Military Service Modernization Act. Is this that male privilege and female oppression I've been hearing about?

Clavicular says looks matter more than money for women and explains why incomemaxxing is a losing strategy for most men "The highest thing women look for is still looks over wealth. That's been very easily disproven by a lot of the self report studies and dating apps reporting their data." "A lot of women won't even give you the time of day to prove your value or your income if you're an ugly motherfucker. If you can't even have that first interaction go well, there's no way to build rapport." "Even making a million dollars a year, top 0.025 percentile in the United States, going against a good looking guy you're probably still going to be at a huge deficit in the dating market. Improving 20 percentiles in looks is much more achievable, which is why I think as a general rule of thumb looksmaxxing is a better way to improve yourself as a man than income and status."

@NeverSinkDev For anyone wondering what's the trick it's using essence to roll a mod which cannot exist in those gloves naturally so when using recomb you always get the mod that you want to keep.

For the PoE1 players out there: Low tier essences suddenly have some value, because they're used for some Recombination trickery. Previously I've pinned them to the lowest essence tiers in the endgame, but I've given them some eco-tiering now in the filter. That said, their trade volume is low, so may take a couple of days to get things right in the filter. Low-volume trades are always super tricky.

Ford CEO in new interview: “We'll have an all-electric, affordable vehicle to compete with Model Y and Model 3. I think there's nothing else like it on the market. We started a skunkworks team 4 years ago. They were basically Formula 1 and Tesla people. That vehicle is radically different. I'm really excited to show everyone maybe late this year or (early) next year. It will be coming out next year.” (via Spike's Car Radio)

The audience that goes to the movie theater to see superhero movies is 70% male. If you make a superhero movie about a woman who is trying to “find herself,” the female audience will not show up for it and you will lose most of the male audience as well. Even if this movie is good, it is probably going to do poorly at the box office. They should have made a Lobo movie with Supergirl as supporting cast rather than the other way around. Hollywood fooled themselves into thinking “girl power” superhero movies were viable because Marvel got people to go see “Captain Marvel” by sandwiching it in between “Infinity War” and “Endgame,” when there was peak excitement around the MCU. That is not something that is possible to repeat, and the DCU doesn’t have the franchise excitement to get fans into theaters in 2026.

@TheRundownAI I like the fact that human error and judgement is a part of calling pitches. An ump might make the strike zone bigger or smaller depending on the batter, playoffs vs not, home vs away, etc.

69% of baseball fans say they'd rather have a computer vision AI system call balls and strikes than a human umpire. This season, the MLB gave them one. For the first time in league history, a human ump's ball-strike call is not final. A Sony computer vision system called Hawk-Eye makes the ruling. It can read the seam pattern on the ball, measure spin axis, and detect spin decay mid-flight. Hawk-Eye's Head of Computer Vision Engineering says the pipeline runs "various AI and machine learning models" from camera capture to data output. On Saturday, one umpire had 6 of 8 challenged calls overturned. Three of those missed by over 2 inches. The team ran out of challenges by the fourth inning trying to correct him, then the manager got thrown out for arguing a call they couldn't challenge. An AI computer vision system accurate to a sixth of an inch, sitting next to a human who misses by two. The crowd cheered for the machine.

Bill Maher is SO CLOSE to figuring it out: “I just don’t understand the American economy. I really don’t. I don’t understand how there could be so much wealth and I pay so much in taxes and it doesn’t seem to get to the people. I don’t even mind doing it. Over half, always, way over half and I never read about the homeless getting better. Anything getting better. At least not in a city like [Los Angeles, California].” One word, Bill: FRAUD!
