Paratroopers always get the job done. I know because I also served in this division.

Over 4,400 U.S. service members died in the Iraq War from the invasion (Mattis commanded) March 2003 through the official withdrawal in 2011.
This result of those lives lost was a new war fighting ISIS in 2014.
I respect Mattis, but he has very little room to publicly critique a Middle East military operation lead by those who fought under his command simply because it doesn’t mirror his strategy and doctrine.

Donald Trump called mail-in voting “mail-in cheating” on Monday. That same day, news broke that he just voted by mail in a Florida special election.
His polling place is a 15-minute drive from Mar-a-Lago.
He spent the last two weekends there.
He mailed it anyway.
He is now holding the entire country hostage to pass a bill making it harder for you to vote the way he just voted.

One aspect of the DHS shutdown that has flown under the radar:
Yes, ICE's frontline deportation officers are funded via OBBB, but their civilian support staff/non-law enforcement personnel are not. They haven't been paid since the DHS shutdown began.
They may not be the ones physically removing illegal immigrants, but they are crucial support for the ICE officers who are.
I've been contacted by several of these employees who feel they've been left behind. They won't quit or call out because they believe in the mission, but it is getting increasingly difficult for them after missing several paychecks already.

NEW: Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) says he is a hard no on any DHS deal that allows ICE’s deportation wing to go unfunded, as is reportedly being discussed as a framework.
“This doesn’t make any sense with me. Democrats shut down the government cause they want to give amnesty to illegals. I don’t agree with that. They don’t want to fund the part that protects Americans from illegal aliens committing crimes?“
He went on to call plans to fund ICE through a reconciliation package a “pipe dream” and says he will be a no vote if this deal comes before the Senate.
