This is the third time in the last week I’ve seen a gay man being celebrated for destroying a woman’s life for years. It’s not the 1940’s, we aren’t in the Middle East. There is no excuse for stealing those years from someone.

This NPR article focuses on how we have "missing economically stable men” boiling it down to not enough going to college. But why is this happening? They never mention how, for decades, we’ve only given support, encouragement and resources to girls and women. We’ve told boys and men to “step aside.” They make it sound like it’s all the men’s fault without taking a good hard look at what society has down to hurt our boys and men and ensure they don’t succeed. If we can’t call out the true problem, we’ll never find real solutions.

Disagreeing with gender ideology is not automatically “hate.” You can believe biological sex is real, advocate for women-only spaces, question certain policies, or oppose medical transitions for minors without wishing harm on trans people. People seriously need to stop labeling every disagreement as “bigotry,” because that shuts down any honest conversation before it even starts.

@ShamashAran There is so much here to unpack. 1. It's constantly singled out because conservative Christians see being gay/bi/trans as the ultimate and unforgivable sins. 2. Pride is about coming together. That we can't be intimidated or erased. (See the VRA as proof we aren't safe.)

I'm LGBT and do some defending, but i'll guess it's singled out because we aren't using an entire month to celebrate adultery in two weeks. I was perfectly happy when it wasn't criminalized, and we decided assaulting gays was bad. Federally recognized marriage was icing! we don't have to demand people celebrate it.
