❓Why does law enforcement need to catch up with AI❓ 🔎 That was the key question at #UNCOPS. Convened by 🇦🇪 UAE, UNICRI joined 🇯🇵 Japan, 🇸🇬 Singapore and @Microsoft to explore how AI is reshaping policing and what this means for law enforcement institutions. 🧭 The answer is clear: AI has already transformed both crime and policing. Responding effectively requires law enforcement agencies to develop operational capabilities while strengthening the leadership, governance and partnerships needed to harness AI responsibly. Through initiatives such as AI-POL and AI for Safer Children, UNICRI and its partners are helping law enforcement agencies leverage AI effectively, responsibly and in full respect of human rights.
